In summer, boat ride at Lake Castet, many family walks and hikes (the chalet is located on walking trails), Laruns swimming pool (2km) covered, the roof of which can be opened in summer; it is equipped with a 25m pool, a sauna and a jaccuzi; river or mountain lake fishing (Lac de Bious - Artigues); small tourist train from Artouste, the highest in Europe which runs along the mountainside; visits to the cellars of Jurançon in Gan, a honey house in the neighboring village of Aas with observations of the bees (glass hive), you can get there on foot, forest hanging at the Eaux Bonnes (10 mins).
You will go to Spain by the Pourtalet pass (ventas ..) crossing the Pyrenees National Park, cows, horses and sheep live there freely according to the seasons, transhumance, you may see marmots while scrutinizing the mountains through binoculars.
In winter, if there is snow, you can practice alpine skiing, snowshoeing or snowboarding at the stations of Gourette (a daycare center is open during school holidays), Artouste and Formigal (in Spain).
