“Lovely property ”

“Comfortable dwelling in a beautiful quiet location. Short walk to the roman villa and or the south downs way.”

“On arrival we were unable to access the property and had to wait for another guest to let us in. Smooth check process thereafter, Michael receptionist lovely and welcoming. Property description is not entirely what it seems as whole chalet is a bit miss leading, the rooms are part of a large building and spacious, clean rooms. Slightly dated, it is a charity which explains the decor and layout. No bar at the weekend, no swimming pool at the weekend. Good location, would stay again now I……

“The property is lovely, like a good hotel suite. It was spotlessly clean and there were lots of clean towels. Lots of plug sockets and a good size mirror. The downside was the shower was lukewarm and we couldn't increase the temperature. Also, the communication wasn't great. There was no info about where to collect or leave the key. Nor was there any acknowledgement when we sent details of our arrival time. A coffee machine would have been nice. ”

“We really enjoyed our stay at The Old Stables. The beds were very comfortable and everything we needed was provided. The hosts were helpful and the setting is idyllic with pheasants and wildlife all around. Close to lots of forest walks and to local pubs and to the pretty village of Petworth. We were at the cottage for almost three weeks and it felt like home when we left. Very central for a visit to West Sussex and all that it has to offer.”

“We had a great stay over a long bank holiday weekend and was perfect for our family of 4 (5 and 3 year old). Comms were great and it had everything we needed for a short break. Lovely peaceful location and in close proximity to everything we needed”
