We drove in from the town on blackheath wanted to just have a small anniversary getaway. Check in was ok , we wernt really welcomed or made aware of anything in or around the the property for example (a tea room and an internal corridor to get to reception) the rooms tv was severly broken so we went back to reception to let then know. We had to wait for a repair man that said that it was unfixable. Then had to wait on wether they would decide to repair/replace it or move us.. they moved us after but this resulted in our booking for the hot tub to run over time because we had to wait for a descision. This was extremely inconvenient and we were just offered the same room equivalent as a replacement .. even though it was not our fault. Secondly , the booking platform we booked through said dinner was available. This is incorrect, we stayed on a monday and nearly everything is closed in this area.. so beware. The wine we ordered at the bar was out of stock but instead of asking what else we wanted they just chose for us. The room itself was nice and comfy but the wifi cut out constantly. I assume its because we were at the very back end of the building..
Lastly, in the morning we walked in for the complimentary breakfast. We had zero greeting and were given no direction. We decided to just get a plate .. the food was stale and aweful. The coffee was cold and the woman who was we think a staff member was all over the place. We thought she was a guest.
