Great location, easy walk to the Promenade. The outside is shabby & the windows need a good clean as do the carpets & curtains in the communal areas & the decor can do with an update & a general tidy up too. The owners only took over in June so its work in progress. The owners are friendly and welcoming, breakfast was freshly cooked & of good quality. The breakfast room isn't adequate for the amount of guests & needs a complete overhaul as there is a lot of unused & unaccesible space. Maybe the bar could be used if guests can't access the breakfast room? The bedroom was small but spotlessly clean, the bed amazingly comfortable, shower was hot & powerful though the towels were old, marked & not of great quality. But it was lovely to have 'proper' tea & coffee provided in the room. My room was very very quiet, warm & cosy. For the price this was a great place to stay.

Overall I stay was ok and the staff were very nice. Little things that could be improved on our first night we had biscuits, it would have been nice to have them every day. On our last morning we only had one teabag for the 3 of us. Breakfast was not what we would call a full English, tomatoes and mushrooms would have been nice and 2 sausages. We did tell the staff about this. We came to the bar for happy hour and it wasn’t staffed, we ran the bell and nobody came, so we left. Property was a bit tired looking and could do with some love. Toiletries in the bathroom, once used were not replaced, no tissue in the tissue box.

Had a lovely stay at Raffles Hotel. Location is ideal and so convenient for all attractions. Hotel is spotlessly clean and we were given a warm welcome by the owners. Breakfast is very good with plenty of options available. A very enjoyable stay.

The room was clean nd comfortable. The proprietors, Tim & Janine, were super hospitable, welcoming and provided excellent customer service. Breakfast was wholesome and hearty. Would definitely recommend a stay there.

Lovely Stay

We had a lovely stay at Raffles Hotel. They really do go the extra mile to ensure the comfort of your stay. We had an extremely busy and what can be stressful weekend Dancing. It was made easier with them accommodating us with early breakfast setting us up for the day, extra parking, helping us with luggage. It was all a huge help and early check in. The room was ready for our early arrival. We would definitely stay at Raffles again.

The room was very small you could hardly walk down the side of the bed . The bedding smelt bad and even when sheets were changed made no difference as it was actually the duvet and pillows themselves that smelt awful . Bell on the front door rings every time some opens it and could be heard through the night from the room. Walls paper thing could hear people talking, peeing in toilet and having shower in the floor above .

Lovely hotel - great location

Had a great stay at Raffles. Staff made sure we had a pleasant visit. Breakfast was plentiful and feshly cooked. Hotel is in a great location, easy walking distance to the local amenities. Would recommend.
