I am a visiting professor from Notre Dame. I must say that “One con can make lots of pros vanish”. First request, a few staff members must get training on culturally responsive attitude towards guests. Behavior matters most than luxury amenities.
However, first red flag: the way one staff was explaining the property rules while checking in, it seemed we are inmates and instructions are being given to prisoners as we see in typical films.
Secondly, they assume possibly all non-white people with accent are international guests whereas I’m not an international guest! That was sad to see people are still so prejudiced/biased of colors in such a beautiful diverse country.
Finally, Wi-Fi didn’t work the first day even though I asked for help twice. The next day it worked. A staff was very rude, instead of being apologetic, was being defensive as if it’s a problem in my “international” phone whereas I have been living in Indiana for the last two years with this latest iPhone and US mobile network.
