The neighborhood is nice and quiet and located well for going into Boone. Also convenient to Blowing Rock and Grandfather Mountain. We will definitely stay again.
Overall we had a great time, a couple of minor issues but property management took care of it very promptly. The house is spacious and we loved the ping-pong table. Thank you for letting us bring our dog our son was very happy to see him 😁
It was a good stay overall. There were a few issues. No can opener. No cofee filters. No flat (top) sheet on either of the queen beds in loft. This was the biggest issue because the comforters were not very clean. Its a nice property, but because of the lack of cleaning and issues, we will try another property next time.

Overall the cabin was nice. Convenient location, easy to access, great porch, plenty of space for 3 adults. The weather was warmer than normal, and there are 3 window units in the property, which don’t cool the kitchen or den late in the afternoons. Some of the furnishings need to be upgraded (coffee pot, baking sheets, comforters, wood furniture, etc) and maybe a path along the driveway for getting in to your vehicle. We did enjoy our time and appreciate the use of the cabin.
Really enjoy sitting at the deck with the cool breeze. The dogs enjoyed running around the yard. Might need to drive a higher car to get there because the speed bump on the way to the cabin is not sedan friendly.
We had a thoroughly great time at our stay. We did have difficulty finding it though as it was around dusk and was kind of difficult to know which cabin it was. But once we got in and settled it was fantastic.

Cabin it's nice, the neighborhood it's quiet and very nice
We had a great weekend and were very comfortable. My. husband and I, two teenage kids plus two dogs were in need of a long weekend get-away, and this cabin fit the bill perfectly. We had enough rough to spread out and be comfortable, while also enjoying the family time the ping pong table encouraged. Very clean, well appointed, would definitely come back!
Great location that was close to all the sites we wanted to see plus great restaurants. House and lodging details were as described. Family was able to get away and disconnect from school and work!
We had three adults and two older teens and had plenty of space in the cabin. The neighborhood was lovely and a great, safe place to walk our dog at all times of the day. The cabin was very clean and centrally located to everything in the area. Would definitely stay there again.

Kumbaya- great stay
We had a wonderful stay at Kumbaya! Loved the cabin and its amenities. The communication was wonderful regarding the locking/unlocking of the door, the turn by turn directions, etc. We also received a personal call on the day of check in from Carolina Cabin Rental with an update on road conditions which was very much appreciated and helpful! The only recommendation I would have is to update the sleep # to 7 as opposed to the 8 that's listed, as there are only spots for 7 to sleep in a bed. Thank you to the owners for sharing their home with us! We hope to be back!

Kumbaya Log Cabin
We truly loved everything about the cabin and also the entire process, since making the reservation through the very last day with you guys, definitely no complaints whatsoever just the total opposite. This was also our first experience with snow so very pleased/happy with all of the snow the last 2 days. Definitely looking forward to returning in the near future and definitely through you guys again. Very please with everything, you guys are awesome and so is the cabin so congrats to the owner for such a great job maintaining it and making sure that we had everything we needed. Thank you very much

Nice cabin, open views
We enjoyed our stay. Cabin generally as depicted. Super-communicativeness from Carolina Cabins. Nice Christmas decor. Could have "house manual" for switches, remotes, etc. No hangers anywhere! Even though multiple closets with large hanging bars. There for a wedding so, disappointing. Loved the firewood delivery and easy late check-out options. Some things could use refreshing/washing (curtains, bedspread updates). Well stocked kitchen equipment. In a development of sorts, but nice views out windows and felt very private.

The house is cozy and clean but it is in need of better maintenance. The furniture throughout is very old and worn out, the windows are rusty, the upstairs floor squeaks excessively, the AC/heating controls are extremely antiquated, etc.

We really enjoyed the stay and the cabin was great. We wanted more of a view of the mountains in the picture the green trees around the porch were not there. Kind of disappointed in the views. The cabin was really nice but think they could have done a little better cleaning. Noticed the night stands in the bedroom was really dusty. But overall it was a great place and enjoyed our visit.

Kumbaya Cabin
A nice quiet neighborhood to stay at during our visit. Close to both Boone and Blowing Rock. About 30 minutes from the Grandfather Mountain/Linville Gorge area. The cabin does appear to be one of the only vacation rentals in the neighborhood given the number of private property signs and surveillance cameras on neighboring properties. Not sure if that's a plus or minus. The cabin itself was comfortable with much more space than my wife and I needed. I gave it a rating of 3 stars because of the many visible spiderwebs throughout the building and the lack of additional lighting from lamps. Overall, not bad, but we will probably stay somewhere else on our next visit in November.
Last minute pet friendly reservation for my Wife's Birthday as other plans fell through. The property is lovely and well kept up except for a couple of minor issues with a broken screen door and a TV stand in one of the bedrooms that wasn't stable. The air conditioning in all the bedrooms was appreciated.
Communications with the property managers were brief but all the required info was readily available.
My husband and I stayed here with our 3 kids, ages 3, 7, and 9. It was a private, relaxing property and the kids loved the porch and yard. It's easily located between Boone, Blowing Rock, and Valle Crucis and all there is to do in those wonderful towns (hiking, tubing, shopping). It was not far from the grocery stores (which were well-stocked during our visit at the beginning of July). It was a wonderful and much-needed escape back to the mountains where we grew up! Thank you!
We thoroughly loved our mountain getaway. The cabin was lovely and very comfortable.

Beautiful and Cozy Cabin
The Kumbaya cabin was beautiful and in a great location, convenient to Boone and the surrounding area. It was the perfect size and we loved the large kitchen table for meals and visiting. The covered porch was a highlight as well for enjoying morning tea and coffee. Would definitely stay there again.
Clean cabin. Convenient location. But needs a little TLC. For example: Netting on Ping Pong table was broken. Two chairs were broken. TV stand in bedroom was broken. Small leak in ceiling above was noticed on rainy day. Other than that very clean cabin and good central location.
None of the issues above ruined our trip. We had a great time. I’m sure the recent COVID restrictions might have made it hard to fix a few things.
Our favorite things about the cabin were the awesome firefly shows that we saw in the northwest section of the property every night. And the two little rabbits that lived on the property were super cute and fun to watch.
