We had a wonderful experience at the First Name, it was our 1st time here. The breakfast was amazing, fresh omelette every morning and fresh capuchinos made by hand not a Machine. The staff was beyond helpful and went out of their way to make you feel welcomed. The tram leaves you at the front of the hotel so convenient and safe. I would stay here again - MERCI

We had a fabulous stay here. Rooms are lovely, and the bar and restaurant area are excellent. The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. A 10 minute walk to the centre of Bordeaux, or there is a tram stop right outside which came in very handy in the 40°C heat! The aircon in the building was welcomed at the end of a long day of sightseeing!

Front desk staff were great. Lobby bar is very nice and staff friendly. Was there a week and noticed things weren’t always as expected at a Hyatt brand: inconsistent in room coffee/sugar supply, shared kitchenette not always stocked, broken equipment at gym, 2 false alarms (one at around 6 am), rude maid, unaware of the planned city tram service disruption for days that was right in front, shower door in room was missing and was replaced part way through, etc. I think they focused more on the brand identity and invested less in delivering.

Good location, parking and a nice hotel. Room booked via Expedia included a private hot tub on the terrace, but the hot tub has not been available at the hotel for over a year, so really disappointing to find that out on arrival. Staff at the hotel were apologetic. Room lovely, terrace looking unkept and needs a facelift, outdoor lights not charged and some of the furniture was damp and mouldy, but nice and private with a view above the city, so could be great. Didn’t feel like anyone had checked the ‘nice extras’ in the room for a while - coffee out of date and didn’t get topped up, steamer iron broken, and record player didn’t work.

The location is very convenient and close to the cathedral st Andre and the hotel de ville. Also about 5 min to most bistros. The staff at reception was amazing. Claire was so professional and knowledgeable she helped us plan our stay. Amande as well as most of the personnel. We recommend this hotel. The only negative point there was no little fridge in the room.
