The Barn Hotel & Spa

"I booked this hotel as a treat for my grand daughters 16th birthday to include a treatment and use of the spa. It is well located just off the A1 down a country lane with lovely views over the countryside. It is nicely decorated inside with modern decor, however our room was slightly well worn with a worn carpet and holes in the curtain but it was lovely and clean and well located on the ground floor. The hotel wasn't busy when we got there and we had lunch which was Ok ( a bit expensive) but they accommodated my grand daughters request for a chip sandwich Breakfast was buffet style with hot food, toast, cereals yoghurt etc so good choice. Our therapist who did our massage was lovely and the spa facilities were great for what we wanted, large swimming pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. Although we got caught up in massive traffic jam due to a fatal accident on the A1 all in all we were really pleased with our stay for the money we paid. I will definitely want to look at going again for a small short spa stay."
