“We were walking the Pennine Way and stopped off at Bongate House after reaching Dufton and after walking/backpacking for most of the day. “The Castle House is very conveniently located and reasonably priced. Our room was gorgeous, including a wonderful tub for a relaxing bath and a huge, comfortable, fancy bed. Breakfast was delicious and packed lunches were available for us C2C hikers. Our only small gripe was that the hosts were not available in the evening to help us with laundry, but I would still recommend staying here!”
