“River Dance cottage is a comfortable.clean and well presented holiday stay. The owners go to great lengths to ensure you feel welcome, and also have everything you need. A welcome pack of wine and tasty cookies are left for you to enjoy, the cottage has a fitted kitchen with all amenities. The towels are thick and fluffy too. “A great central location for a weekend break in Masham. The barn was modern and clean and big enough for us as a family of four. Everything we needed was provided. We had come early evening following the Polar Express (Wensleydale) train ride in December, so it was a bit cold and took a while to heat up with its big rooms/high ceilings. However, by the next morning it was warm and cosy. Would stay again and definitely recommend ”

“Very friendly reception from the landlord Gareth who provided a most enlivening atmosphere in the Duke of Wellington ie a darts match for the men and Easter wreath making for the ladies. No food unfortunately but we found an excellent Italian restaurant in nearby Northallerton. The courtyard room was clean and comfortable, marred only by a very awkward shower - not easy to enter, due to lack of space.”

“Very helpful, we were going to be later than anticipated arriving, phoned to let them know, they reassured us it was no problem, everything was ready for our stay. “Elm tree cottage was the best stay I’ve had in Yorkshire , I visit often and by far the best place I’ve stayed the hosts were lovely and kind and was great to chat too! The location was perfect in a cute little village on a farm close to Thirsk and an easy drive to York. Providing the essentials for cooking and a cozy little cottage too! Would definitely recommend and look forward to returning in the future! ”
