Gourmet kitchen, expansive living, dining, and relaxed alfresco spaces; minutes to bushwalking trails, wineries and Bowral town. The Coach House originally accommodated the coachman and horses for the Estate's grand late-nineteenth century Italianate mansion; it retains many original character features that reflect its rich history as part of The Rift, one of the early Bowral estates. A gourmet kitchen awaits, and an outdoor entertaining area with bbq and deck chairs on the verandah for relaxing. More energetic guests can play croquet and badminton on the lawn, or wander down to the field for a game of cricket or football. There are gardens full of fruit, vegetables, herbs and flowers to explore. Named for the geological rift at the base of Mount Gibraltar, there are bushwalking trails and scenic paths to explore nearby. Getting Around The Coach House is an easy 90 minute drive from Sydney and has ample off-street and street parking. Alternatively, an inter-city train can transport you from Sydney or Canberra to Bowral station, only minutes from The Coach House. Our winter stay was cosy with the fire going and all of the bedrooms had heating. Our group of 10 were very comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped, the beds are very comfortable. The property is an easy 2km walk into town. This has been one of our favourite properties in the 10+ years we have been organising these trips. Bowral is stunning and there is so much to explore locally.
