"Susan's place was a perfect place for me to gather with my children, their significant others, and grandchildren. The house was as advertised! it was secluded and quiet and the kitchen came fully appointed with pots, pans, utensils, plates, silverware, you name it. We cooked all our meals at the house and had everything we needed. Thank you Susan for letting us stay in your peaceful, mountain cabin."

"The property was very well maintained, nicely decorated and highly functional. We found everything we needed with no delays. Everyone was comfortable and there were six of us. The location was not as centrally located as we’d hoped it would be. It was lovely, it just definitely required a drive to get to downtown Charlottesville. The host was very helpful and responsive. "The house is terrific, different hang out spaces, a dedicated office space and strong Wi Fi. Outside fire ring and chairs with wood provided. The primary suite is on main and is really large… the beds are very comfortable. A cedar lined primary closet and a lovely claw foot tub. Good kitchen well stocked with cooking needs. We loved staying here and will be back."

"My family and I had a great time at this property with the air hockey, dart board, firepit, & hot tub. The kitchen was well-stocked with non-stick cookware, having everything one might need to cook. We cooked many of our meals, so this was appreciated (there's a limited number of restaurants in the area, but we like to cook). Communication with the owner was very easy and good."

"What an amazing place for our family to spend Spring Break! This property is beautiful. We were in the pool every day, made s'mores every night, and did plenty of hiking. The lake was the perfect size to teach my daughters how to kayak. We also did lots of pedalboating. An unexpected surprise was watching an otter (the kids named it Ollie) play in the lake and on the docks whenever it got sunny! "A beautiful, not too rustic cabin set well back from the road. There are no neighbors in the backyard except for the birds, squirrels and deer. There are no neighbors in the front yard either. We needed a break from our daily grind and this wonderful place provided everything we needed and wanted. The host reached out before our arrival and followed up shortly after our checking. He wanted to make sure there were no issues finding the cabin and that everything was working once we had an hour or...

"My husband, 6 month old, our dog and friends stayed for a week at this incredible property. The mountain views from the house, pool, barn, etc are better than anywhere we visited in the area and we didn't want to leave most days. We even had a local photographer come take family pictures! The pool, fire pit, making meals, and having a private chef (TJ, ask the owner for his info) come in to cook for us – each day was relaxing, cozy, and fun. "A really charming and quirky house, perched on an overlook above a bend in the James river. Very friendly host, nice grounds, and plenty to explore in the surroundings. We did some outdoor grilling and a fire in the pit on a very starry night. The kids were disappointed that the hottub wasn't working that weekend, but there were plenty of games and some swings nearby to keep them occupied."

"This house is really nice and a perfect spot for 2 adult couples. Bedrooms with their own bathrooms on either side of the cabin, a beautiful overlook balcony of the river, and huge windows everywhere to take in the scenery. The owner was really nice and easy to communicate with via text and gave helpful instructions to find the place. It is far off the main road so I suggest traveling in an SUV or a car well off of the ground. My only star taken was for the accuracy of the listing as it says...
