I remember holiday Inn back in the day and it was popular and expensive. So to see thy hav several in Charlottesville I was surprised. Pros: I was very impressed with how well kept it was and the lobby very spacious. Our room was nice and comfy. The folks that checked me in very kind. Ms Millie in particular. Cons: Breakfast was $16.00 not included in the room. We had handicap room but there wasn't a toliet safety rails.

The room smelled like mold, the door did not close properly so was left open when I left to check out the gross green pool. I left immediately. The pictures are a complete misrepresentation of the hotel. One good thing is location is right off 64 and the front desk clerk was really nice and helpful.

Check in was great, very pleasant. Overpowering smell of chemical cleaning products feels like it is masking an underlining smell. Our ice bucket in room had water in it. Left very little confidence that room was cleaned. Ice machine was empty. Don’t bother with breakfast. Oatmeal was very cold, kept running out of items.

Hotel showing soon age. Our floor is sinking on the carpet side. In fact you can see where the cracked line is going. Bathroom has a potion of the ceiling coming down in the corner near the shower heads. Slight smell of gas in the hall but I believe they were working on that. The room was clean and bed was nice a comfortable. It also needs a new fridge because it was not cooling to well. But it wasn't a bad stay at all.

The staff were great, friendly and willing to address problems. However, the bathroom faucet needed to be repaired and for 3 out of our 5 nights there we had to chase housekeeping in order to get fresh towels and coffee resupplies. Room was only freshened once out of the 4 nights. The maintenance man alluded that tge current manager was cutting corners and deferring needed maintenance.

Clean, staff was helpful and easy in and out location. Starbucks and pizza just steps out the hotel door and across the parking lot. A/C unit in the room was loud and traffic noise from the highway is prominent. If you are a very sound sleeper, no problems at all.

The hotel location was fine and the parking was safe and easy. There were many big events in the area during our stay and we understood why the room rate was so high. The hotel offered an expensive buffet breakfast that was only available if you ate it there. That was disappointing.

Room was great - nicely renovated. Lovely lounge / restaurant. Front desk peeps very helpful. BIGGEST DRAWBACK - noise from highway was unreal. We heard every truck shift and racing engine. Literally kept us up and we're not light sleepers. Breakfast didn't start til 7:30, and menu offered small selection.
