As the COVID-19 outbreak was spreading in the Eastern U.S., I was unexpectedly stuck in Burlington for several days while waiting to bring my UVM student home. My room at the Anchorage Inn was very large and comfortable, which was great for my semi-quarantine, and I was grateful for the mini-fridge and microwave since restaurants closed the day after I arrived. The staff were friendly and very conscientious. Every time I left my room, maintenance and housecleaning staff were disinfecting hand-rails, doorknobs, counters, etc, and taking every possible precaution to help me feel safe in the shared spaces. I was kindly offered hand-sanitizer when I returned from the grocery store. I don't think there's a better measure of a hotel's cleanliness than how they handle a pandemic, and I give these good people a 10/10.
