This cottage is a cottage near the forest and close to all amenities. You enjoy the view and a fabulous atmosphere, birds singing and the sound of water from the waterfall below the flower garden ... make it an ideal place for rest and relaxation. This stone cottage, has 2 bedrooms, a nice bathroom with a large walk-in shower, a living room with a comfortable sofa and TV (French channels) and wifi, a kitchen with a large bay window opening a large terrace with a beautiful view which is the great strength of this house. Romantic, decor is studied for a soft and cozy atmosphere. L’emplacement est idéal, sur les hauteurs avec une vue magnifique depuis la terrasse du gîte, le jardin ou la piscine. Le gîte est très confortable et décoré avec goût. Il est très facile de visiter toute l’île depuis cette base. Nathalie et Patrice sont très accueillants et nous ont donné de très bons conseils de visites, de balades et de restaurants. Die Aussicht von der Terrasse über die Hügel bis zum Meer ist faszinierend. Der Garten ist einfach ein Traum, eine Explosion von Farben und Düften. Im Haus gibt es alles, was man braucht. Le jardin est bien fleuri, bien arboré et surtout entretenu avec beaucoup de passion. Fleurs exotiques, vignes, falaises vertigineuses et rochers volcaniques offrent une variété inégalée de couleurs et de paysages qui font de l'île un vrai jardin flottant. Dec 8, 2018 #### le vrai madère un séjour réussi grâce à Sandrine qui nous a bien guidés, autant dans la préparation des visites que sur les points où l'on aurait pu se faire piéger. Il est bien pratique d'avoir une personne française qui connaisse aussi bien l'île. la maison était au delà de nos attentes. des voisins madériens qui ne semblent pas posséder grand chose, et qui nous ont très bien accueuillis eux aussi avec de petits cadeaux simples (pommes de terre, bananes). je recommande fortement cette adresse. ##### Nami A. ### 6/10 Okay #### Lena T. Dec 7, 2018 #### Gemütliche Unterkunft mit tollem Ausblick Das Häuschen hatte eine tolle Lage, einen wunderschönen Ausblick und war gut ausgestattet. Leider waren im Haus Mäuse, die durch die Küche und das Wohnzimmer liefen. Man konnte dadurch nicht entspannt sitzen, da die Kleinen Bewohner dann aus ihrem Versteck kamen. Ein großes Manko bei einem sonst sehr schönen Haus. Der Ofen ist sehr klein und eher ein Tischofen. Jeden Morgen gegen 9.00h kommen verschiedene Bäcker mit dem Auto vorbei und man kann Brot und Brötchen kaufen. Leider hatten wir die ersten Tage kein Wlan. Die Vermieterin jedoch war sehr nett und bemühte sich, sodass wir die letzten zwei Tage noch InternetZugang hatten. Kommunikation läuft hauptsächlich auf Französisch. ##### Lena T. La maison est vraiment cocoon et bien située, on a pu visiter l'essentiel. Nous avons vraiment regretté de devoir changer de maison, finalement je conseille de rester dans la même maison pour votre séjour sur Madère. Capital d'être sur la côte sud de l'ile lors de votre séjour; au nord la météo est radicalement différente niveau ensoleillement. Sandrine et ses parents sont supers sympas, nous aurions aimés accepter leur inviatation à boire un punch au café le Look All A Calheta mais nous étions cuits ce soir là après marche et voiture. Geographiquement idéalement placé pour aller aux différents endroits intéressants de l'ile. Nous recommandons vivement cette location. De plus on a super bien dormi, aucune nuisance sonore ce qui pour des gens de la ville est un grand luxe. Bises à toute la famille et merci pour votre gentillesse. Quelle belle surprise en arrivant de voir que tout etait enfait bien plus beau que sur les photos :) Nous avions eu un peu peur à l'arrivée car nous avons eu l'impression de faire beaucoup de route. Ce qui était juste une impression car de la plage nous mettions exactement 6 minutes. J'avais envie de mettre la décoration dans mes valise tellement je l'ai aimée. Et l'ambiance générale de la maison... un PARADIS ! Nous avons effectué une petite randonnée en suivant la rivière située juste en dessous, un régal! Le voisin nous a même offert des oeufs ! Ce fut un séjour magique... cette île vous permet d avoir 3 univers unique ( méditerranéen, équatorial et arride). Nous sommes allés de surprises par les jardins, les randonnées, la vie au milieu des habitants, la gastronomie, l architecture en lave, ... des paysages a coupé le souffle... Si vous etes aussi accompagné par vos enfants ils seront des rois. Ma fille de 2 ans a êté très gâtée. Les personnes qui géraient le gîte était aux petits soins... Les gites sont superbes très cosy. Aug 17, 2017 #### L'Eden la bien nommée Quel plaisir que de loger dans cette maison. Excellent pour déconnecter de notre quotidien ! De part sa décoration soignée et douce, par le paysage qui l'entoure ( superbe point de vu conforme aux photos!) et de ce si magnifique jardin extraordinairement fleuri !!! Lisette est un vrai personnage qui peu surprendre au début, mais elle est a elle seule une touche exotique ! Un caractère bien créole ( originaire de la réunion) on en a vite comprit le fonctionnement, sensible et très généreuse, il ne faut vraiment pas s’attarder au fait qu'elle puisse parler un peu fort parfois. Sandrine que l'on a eu au téléphone, nous a tellement bien aider dans la préparation de ce séjour, que nous nous sommes senti rassuré avant d'y être ! Jan 28, 2017 #### Beautiful, quiet place for relaxation and outdoor activities The house is located on a beautiful, very local and quiet area of Calheta. It is way up the hill, so views are spectacular but you need a car as walking to store, cafes, restaurants is too much given the altitude. The place was really clean, modern, with beautiful garden. Kitchen is compact with quite limited supply of equipment but enough if you are not planning to make five course meals during your stay. There is nearby Levada trail if you start walking upwards to the mountain. Recommend taking that, despite the initial climbing it is worth it. ##### Heikki A. Nous sommes arrivés en pleine nuit et malgré cela nous avons été époustouflés par la deco intérieure: on s'y sent bien instantanément. Puis au réveil, le jardin est magnifique, apaisant et la vue sur la mer à couper le souffle: on est en vacances!!! Ensuite, Sandrine vous accueille avec beaucoup de spontanéité et un cœur grand ouvert. Bref, on se sent bien. Jacky et Lisette, ses parents, prennent parfois le relais avec tout autant de sympathie, jamais avares de bons conseils pour découvrir l'île aux fleurs. Terrasse offrant une vue à couper le souffle sur à la fois la mer et la montagne. Jardin verdoyant et fleuri qui promet de se développer. Des vacances inoubliables notamment grâce à l'accueil fantastique de Sandrine, Lisette et Jacky, les propriétaires, qui connaissent les bonnes adresses et les immanquables à visiter et sont toujours disponibles. Maison très bien décorée et avec tout ce qu'il faut pour passer une semaine agréable. Les chambres sont confortables, la salle de bains super, le salon et la cuisine bien fonctionnels et la terrasse a une vue magnifique ! La maison est bien située pour visiter toute l'île, notamment faire les randonnées vars Rabaçal, et elle est très au calme, dans les hauteurs... il ne faut juste pas avoir peur de conduire sur les petites routes escarpées. ##### Sophie S. Maison très bien décorée, tout équipé, dans un village typique très mignon à proximité des commerces et de la plage. Accueilli comme des rois par Lisette (maman de la propriétaire) nous garderons longtemps ce magnifique souvenir. Jusqu'au prochain séjour .
