“The breakfast was fresh and good. Lovely fresh fruit salad. Lunch in the bar is very good. Lots of free and easy parking directly outside the hotel. The decor inside is so rich, where do you look first, beautiful and tasteful. Our room had a four poster bed which we were not expecting, real treat, the room had a panoramic view of the coast line. We just had a wonderful time.”

“Only complaint would be pillows, for me, flat firm pillows dont work. Staff is the best! They were always Super helpful. Location is good...close to the Barbican, aquarium, and waterfront. Room was very clean, well appointed and had great black-out drapes.”

“We were in town mainly to visit nearby Port Isaac (because we loved the Doc Martin series). If you don't mind the steep hill, you can walk from one town to the other in about 15 minutes, and the Port Gaverne hotel was relatively affordable. We had a good dinner and breakfast in the restaurant, and the staff was friendly. The only thing we'd mention is that we were on the top floor, which had nice views but is up an extremely narrow and steep staircase. So if you couldn't make that climb, be sure……
