Southern Indiana cabin on the Ohio river. (Cannelton, Indiana)
This is quite the place, a log cabin right on the bank of the Ohio River. This property is off the “beaten path” and very remote. The rental is very rustic looking, yet has all the amenities we could ask for; WiFi, air conditioning, stove, dishwasher, and comfortable furniture. It is truly a gem. My only thought is that the WiFi didn’t connect well in the “far reaches” of the master bedroom. I would get a eero or something that extends the WiFi reach; other than that, the master bedroom has a California king bed, which we liked. There are a total of 3 bedrooms. There is a bathroom on the main floor, connected to the master bedroom, and one in the upstairs area., connected to the bedroom, upstairs. The inside was designed well. The fire pit, outside, was a nice feature. The owner provided a limited amount of firewood. If you want more, you will have to bring your own or buy it locally. The covered porch, porch swing, and chairs, are heavy duty, and very good quality. We had no disappointments. This is a very nice place and would like to visit again sometime.

Big Timber was perfect for our large group!
We are repeat guests to Big Timber, after our first visit in 2019 we knew we would be back! This time we brought some more friends and our group rented a total of 4 VRBOs that worked perfectly! Big Timber ended up being the meeting point for the group with the wonderful fire pit, central location and perfect floor plan. Bonnie and Chad were absolutely wonderful hosts and their communication was far and above expectations! This would be the perfect destination for a family reunion, friend get together or experience the Kentucky Derby like our group did!!

Joy on the Ohio River
First the cabin couldn't have been nicer. Everything was furnished with high-end furniture, kitchen items and linens. The view was spectacular. The Ohio River in all her glory was right there, visible from the windows surrounding the back and side of the cabin and oh the deck! We were treated to many barges going up and down the river. We even managed, this late in the season, one houseboat. Our hosted paid so much attention to detail. From everything being exceptionally clean to the sets of towels for each of us done up with shower needs and all tied up in a raffy bow. This was such a wonderful way to celebrate 20 years of marriage. Thank you

Tastefully decorated cabin overlooking the mighty Ohio river. Well stocked and furnished with comfort. Lights were on to greet us and it was an instant release looking and feeling the power and history of this secluded corner of the Ohio river.

Great stay, right on the water, cabin matches as advertised. Only comment is mattresses on the beds are on the firm side - if you are sensitive to firm mattresses pick up a memory foam pad on the drive in.

Great Getaway
We love this cabin. Quiet, peaceful, relaxing and beautiful inside and out. The cabin has a security system complete with video camera front and back that added some peace of mind. We saw a baby fox, turtles, beavers, and other wildlife. Watching the barges go by was a plus. We saw a few boats and no loud speed boats. We can't wait to go again. Thank you Betty and Ray for shareing this cabin for others to enjoy.

Celebrating 38 years of marriage
My wife loves log cabins and the fact that it was located by the river made it even better! Loved being able to sit out on the wrap around porch and eat our meals looking out over a beautiful river. Cabin was stocked with everything you need to make your stay a nice one. We like to hike and we were able to hike at the O'Bannon Woods State Park which is located about 43 minutes away. We also were able to go Spring Mill State Park in Mitchell IN located about 1 hour from the cabin. If you like to hike, highly recommend both places. Tell City is the place to go if you need to go to a Walmart or want to go see a movie, or go to a restaurant. It is only about 40 minutes from the cabin. We went to the Pour Haus Restaurant located in Tell City. It used to be a machine shop but they renovated it into a really nice restaurant with lots of indoor and outdoor seating and they even have live entertainment here year round. Overall it was a great place to stay and celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary.
