After you've ticked off the fabulous places in Cluj-Napoca City Centre, there's loads more to explore in the surrounding region. Grab the keys to a rental car, toss your bags in the trunk and get out there. These are some road trips we think you'll enjoy:

• Brasov is roughly 120 miles from Cluj-Napoca City Centre. Famous tourist spots like Poiana Brasov Ski Resort deserve to be at the top of your list while you're in town.
• Next stop? Make it Hunedoara, which is around 75 miles away. Corvin Castle is one local highlight you shouldn't miss.
• Spend time in the great outdoors and appreciate the serenity at Bucharest Botanical Garden. It's about 200 miles from Cluj-Napoca City Centre.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in Romania, then you may need to acquire an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your home country to be allowed to rent a car. You should also be aware that if an IDP is required, it has no validity on its own. You'll be asked to show your current driver's license your passport and other forms of documentation as well.
