U$S 2 Car Rental El Ciprés

There's lots on offer in El Ciprés, but venture farther afield and you'll find more sightseeing magic. Arrange a set of wheels and you can wander around the surrounding region at your own speed. Add these fantastic drives to your travel plan:

• Make your way to Liberia for an excellent sightseeing experience. About 100 miles from El Ciprés, it's home to tons of inspiring attractions, including Liberia Parque Central.
• Your next pit stop? Puntarenas, which is around 50 miles away. Puntarenas Pier is one local highlight you shouldn't miss.
• Playa Coco is located 140 miles from El Ciprés and is one of the region's most breathtaking nature spots. Go for a wander around and enjoy the fresh air.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in Costa Rica, then you may need to get an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence to be allowed to rent a car. It's also important to note that if you do need an IDP, it has no validity on its own. You'll need to show your current license your passport and other forms of documentation as well. Lastly, make sure the credit card used to book the rental vehicle matches the name on your license and passport. A few other things to note for international car rentals are:

• Age restrictions: You must be at least 25 in most countries to rent a car. If you're younger, it might still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of vehicles available to rent.
• Driving limitations: Be sure to read the rules and regulations before sliding behind the wheel. With rental cars, you usually can't cross country borders, drive onto ferries or on certain types of rugged terrain with a rental vehicle.
