Car Rental Exchange District

Once you've been to all of the interesting sights in Exchange District, there's heaps more to explore in the surrounding area. Grab the keys to a rental car, toss your bags in the trunk and get on the road. We've pulled together some road trips you're sure to enjoy:

• You'll discover Grand Beach Provincial Park and many more amazing attractions in Lake Winnipeg. From Exchange District, it's approximately 100 miles away.
• Approximately 120 miles away, Kenora is also a favorite with wanderers. Allow time to check out Keewatin Beach while you're here. It's one of the reasons people love staying a while in this buzzing city.
• Find your way to Riding Mountain National Park to feel grounded in nature. Pack a picnic to enjoy or just sit and unwind. From Exchange District, it's roughly 150 miles away.

If you don't have a driver's license issued in Canada, then you'll likely need to apply for an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence to be allowed to rent a car. You should also be aware that if an IDP is required, it has no validity on its own. You'll have to show your current license your passport and other forms of ID as well. Lastly, it's important that the credit card used to book the rental vehicle matches the name on your license and passport. Some other things to note for international car rentals are:

• Driving limitations: Be sure to read the fine print before you drive away. You typically can't cross country borders, drive on ferries or on off-road areas with a rental vehicle.
