Kuzuha is full of surprises, but don't limit yourself to one place. Pick up a set of wheels and take to the road to see what else awaits in the wider area. These are some great options:

• Nagasaki is roughly 100 miles from Kuzuha. Renowned tourist attractions like Glover Garden deserve to be high on your list here.
• About 40 miles away, Fukuoka is also a favorite with travelers. Make time to get to Kyushu National Museum while you're here. It's one of the reasons people love staying a while in this city.
• Venture into nature and appreciate the serenity at Mount Sakurajima. You'll find it roughly 160 miles from Kuzuha.
