Car Rental Little India

Once you've covered all the interesting sights in Little India, there's heaps more to see in the region. Grab the keys to a rental car, stow your bags in the trunk and take to the open road. We've come up with some road trips we know you'll love:

• You'll find Petronas Twin Towers and loads of other intriguing sights in Kuala Lumpur. From Little India, it's approximately 110 miles away.
• Why not enjoy the wonders of George Town too? Popular sights in this buzzing city include Kek Lok Si Temple. George Town is about 75 miles from Little India.
• Pantai Cenang Beach is around 150 miles from Little India and is one of the region's most scenic nature spots. Go for a wander around and enjoy the fresh air.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in Malaysia, then it's likely you'll need to get an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your home country in order to rent a car. Also consider that if an IDP is required, it has no validity on its own. You'll be asked to show your current driver's license your passport and other forms of identification as well. Lastly, it's important that the credit card used to book the rental vehicle matches the name on your driver's license and passport. A few other things to note to rent a car internationally are:

• Age restrictions: You need to be 25 or over in many countries to rent a car. If you're younger than that, it may still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of vehicles you can rent.
• Driving limitations: Make sure you read the rules and regulations before driving away. Typically, you can't cross country borders, drive onto ferries or on off-road areas with your rental car.
