Nice house in Marble
The house is very nice and very functional. It was very clean. The owners were very nice. The mattresses could be better. Be aware, the listing says there will be slow wifi and no cell service. I thought I would be able to text on the wifi. There was NO wifi that worked for our entire stay despite bringing the issue to the owner's attention. I did use a calling card in the home to make one very important land line call but otherwise had to drive to Carbondale-25 miles down a beautiful, but mountain road-to text or have any internet.

The chalet is delightful! And, so is Marble, CO!!!
Wow! What a nice escape from the city. Quiet. Cooler. Easy walk to the beautiful Crystal River. Short drive to the Penny Hot Springs. Close to Beaver Lake for wildlife viewing, fishing and cooling off in the lake. And, that BBQ! Wow! Even our friends from TX said Marble has the BEST BBQ in the world! Who would have thought? But, back to the house! Perfectly comfortable for 2 families to share. Spent lots of time on the porch playing games in the evening. Cooked most meals at the house and kitchen was superb. Tiffany and Bruce were super friendly and easy to communicate with. Thanks again!

Great place in Marble with lots of character and a great location!
Really enjoyed our stay at Bruce and Tiffany's place! We were 8 adults (4 couples) all with kiddos/newborns and, while not the biggest house, the layout was perfect with all bedrooms upstairs. Lots of character and artistic flare which was appreciated. The bathroom and shower upstairs is amazing...and huge! Our only complaint would be the room with the skylights, but there's no hiding that in the listing. While stargazing in bed is nice, we would recommend some blinds/curtains be added. We actually made our own while there by cutting up some trash bags and hanging them with push pins :) The house could also use some lids for the bigger frying pans (unless we just couldn't find them)! Heat was also a bit high for us mountain folk at 70 degrees with the thermostat in a locked box, but we got in touch with Bruce and he came and turned it down for us. All in all, the place was awesome. Perfect for what we planned: the 1st Annual "New Years and Newborns" gathering where mommies and daddies could take turns skiing off Quarry road while those not skiing watched the kiddos. Crazy low snow year, but that's out of anyone's control. We will definitely be back if we don't buy our own place in Marble sooner!

A jewel in the Mountains
We stayed at this property for 3 nights as we celebrated a family wedding. Our hosts were very accommodating and flexible. The property is super with every detail thought through. It was clean, organized and made us feel like home. It accommodated our family with the number of bedrooms and the layout was perfect allowing our teenage daughter to sleep in, while we made coffee and visited downstairs. I highly recommend this property.

Perfect escape for a family reunion
It is a very nice home in a wonderful mountain setting. Everything was clean and cozy. Kitchen was well supplied and easy to use. Crystal River is just a few steps down the road for avid fishermen and the local pond was a perfect spot to teach beginners. Mnt. Chalet Getaway truly was a special place to relax with the family. While in the area, we enjoyed the hike to the mentioned waterfall and hiked to Thomas Lake while some managed to continue on the trail and made it to the top of Mt. Sopris. We also toured the beautiful Redstone Castle. Many Thank Yous for the enjoyable time.

The property is beautiful and exactly what we were looking for when planning our trip to Marble.
The Mountain Chalet was a perfect getaway for our family; 5 adults and three children. Everyone fit comfortably and loved different features of the chalet. The kids loved the slide and the tire swing and kept them busy for hours. The adults loved the front porch and the convenient access to hiking and fishing. We cooked all of our meals at the house and the kitchen was very well stocked. We utilized the grill and the outdoor fire pit. Cooking hot dogs and s'mores over the fire pit was a huge hit. The house was immaculate and very well taken care of and Bruce and Tiffany have done an amazing job updating the chalet. Wouldn't change a thing. My family has been coming to the Valley for decades and since finding this gem, we are already plan our trip next summer. Although, we decided that we will extend our stay past 3 nights. We just felt like we were easing into our vacation and believe a few more nights and days would be perfect. Thank you for sharing your home!

The Perfect Getaway!
Wow! What a wonderful house in a wonderful location! If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of a busy lifestyle, this could be it. Located in Hermit's Hideaway, it is about 2 miles from the town of Marble. Very secluded and peaceful. Although there are quite a few homes in Hermit's Hideaway, we rarely saw anybody, and the people that we did meet were always friendly or offered a welcoming wave. The chalet is obviously Bruce's and Tiffany's pride and joy and their TLC is displayed throughout the house. When we arrived, it was absolutely spotless. Bruce's woodworking skills have been put to good use. Words do not give it justice. Bruce and Tiffany are very friendly, helpful and live nearby, however, we rarely saw them. They respected our privacy and we enjoyed our chance meetings with them. We rented the house for the entire month of July. We had a mini family reunion and also had several families and friends visit us throughout the month. We did everything from ATV riding, hiking, fishing, exploring, sightseeing, and target shooting to relaxing and just enjoying the scenery. We spent a lot of our free time just relaxing on the side porch. The living room was equally relaxing. The kitchen easily handled our big family meals........several of which were made from Rainbow Trout caught in the lake which was a mere 5 minute walk. The bedrooms were just the right size, not too big and not too small. Two of the bedrooms had a loft bed in them. Although it was a nice setup, it tended to get warm in the loft bed on the hot summer nights. We opted to purchase an inexpensive fan for the lofts, which fixed the problem. The WiFi could be an issue if too many people are trying to access it at one time. I found that by taking turns, it was manageable. Otherwise, it could be frustrating. Cellphone service is nonexistent in Marble. The closest place for cellphone service is Carbondale. The house has a landline phone. We gave family and friends the house phone number and they would call us on that phone. I could see that the WiFi and lack of cellphone service could be an issue for some families, but it worked well for us. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. We liked the isolation and rural setting and did not mind driving 30 minutes to get supplies in Carbondale. Would we rent here again............you betcha!

Sundquist Reunion 2016
Our family has taken vacations together before, but never in such a clean & beautiful setting. It's a real toss up what the grandkids enjoyed most: the outside winding slide (to get from main level to ground), the tire swing (enjoyed by all ages 7 - 18yrs), or the video "Steward Little"...and that is just @ the Chalet itself. SOOOO much to enjoy: gorgeous river/mountains/sunsets/sunrises/deer in the backyard/hikes to the waterfall/watching the dog enjoying the green, green grass, special coffee & well-supplied kitchen! Just WOW!!! Thank you Tiffany & Bruce for being so accommodating. Hope to return in two years for next reunion! Dwain, Betty, Jason, Susan, Kevin, Jenn & kiddos P.S. We drove to BBQ place in Marble...pretty crowded on Sun. pm & too warm inside. :(

Rocky Mountain High with Style
The owners of this home are artist and it really shows. The house has a nice rustic feel but with serious feng shui and functionality. Our large group had plenty of room to spread out and hang out when we wanted to be all together. We love to cook and the kitchen served us well. It was well equipped with an open floor plan with ample counter space. The owners made it clear that they were available if we needed anything but completely respected our space. Marble, Colorado is truly a Colorado gem and so is this home.
