It’s not too far from the centre but you need to have a ride or taxi because there are no walking passes and the road leading to a countryside is narrow. One little detail- it would be helpful to have hand towels and also instructions on how to use a hot tub with a remote control. :) Thank you for your help and kindness!"

"Stayed here for work, picked it specifically as it was attached to a pub/restaurant so didn't need to travel to get dinner. Pub was shut, didn't see any member of staff the whole time there."

The pub was not open and I didn't see any member of staff during the stay. I had a phone number which I used to ask for more milk and coffee in the room, came back to find a couple of sachets balanced on the windowsill. No one came int the room to clean, change towels, etc. "

"The studio lodge was amazing. Hot tub was ready to go when we arrived and the lodge had everything we needed. Food in the Baiting House was superb, even though the a la carte menu wasn't available on Monday/Tuesday, and breakfast was delicious. "

The pods are great, all clean, the double bed is definitely cosy but their description of the pod on the website is accurate, it is basic but they never profess to be anything else. Barbecue in front of each pod is great, we cooked supper and breakfast on it, for all you carnivores, the butcher in Fownhope is fabulous. If you just need a base to chill out in, this is absolutely perfect."
