Riverside cabin with excellent kayaking and fishing

  • Enjoy 200 ft of waterfront all to yourself! This camp provides ample indoor/outdoor living with an oversized screened in porch. The Grasse River is perfect for Kayaking and highly sought after by fishing enthusiasts.

    The master bedroom has a king-sized bed with a loft area that is best suited for children who are able to independently climb a ladder. The living room is equipped with a pull-out couch (queen) as well as a pull-out chair (twin). There are sliding barn doors on the living room for added privacy.

    Outdoor living at it's best! Previous guests have enjoyed viewing bald eagles, deer, herons and other wild life. There are multiple outside decks and a covered front porch. Relax by the fire pit with Adirondack chairs overlooking the river. You will find a large gas grill on the deck for summer cookouts.

    The camp is stocked and ready with all kitchen essentials, board games, DVDs, 2 Netflix-enabled televisions and a starter arrival package of toilet paper, paper towels and dish soap. There is a washing machine, however, the dryer is not hooked up at this time. A clothing line is available outside for drying.

    9 minutes to fishing at the St. Lawrence River in Waddington, NY

Very cozy and warm and clean cabin by the creek side. It was so relaxing and welcoming here. My Mom and Aunt and I quickly developed our morning routine of breakfast and coffee while watching the mesmerizing water wallow by. The convenient binder with information on things to do gave us ideas of daily excursions. We even saw some deer pass through one evening! All in all a great low key family getaway. Will definitely come back. Highly recommend!

This river front cottage was absolutely beautiful and perfect for a weekend getaway surrounded by nature. There was so much provided for us to do, from games to DVDs. Communication with the host was very open and quick to reapond and accommodate any extra needs. The property grounds were well taken care of and brought us so much serenity. It was a wonderful stay!

Relaxing stay by the river

I had a wonderful stay at the Grasse River Getaway. The setting was quiet and peaceful—exactly what I needed to unplug and recharge. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and everything in the cabin was clean and thoughtfully set up. The hosts were friendly, responsive, and made sure I had everything I needed. A Wonderful Getaway!

Little piece of heaven

Was visiting relatives nearby and wanted a home vs hotel to stay with my family. The house and entire property was extremely clean and well maintained. We enjoyed our time and we’re surrounded by beautiful nature. Very happy and hope to come for an extended stay in the future.

Grasse River Getaway

My wife and I absolutely loved our stay at the Grasse River Getaway. The house is located on a very peaceful spot along the river and the screened in porch lets you enjoy the sights and sounds of the water rushing by rain or shine. Very close to McKnight's Maple Market and just down the street from delicious calzones and pizza at the Mills Country store, we would definitely stay here again!

Great riverside retreat

What a wonderful, relaxing location with beautiful outdoor spaces! We enjoyed sitting by the fire pit, doing a little fishing and unwinding in this perfectly appointed home. A short drive to Potsdam, it was the perfect place to relax in between Clarkson family weekend events. So happy we found this little gem!

What an amazing and relaxing vacation home! Pictures truly don't do it justice! The place was stocked with everything we needed and then some. Perfect family trip with lots of things in the area to do, beaches, museums, fishing. Hosts are very quick to respond to questions. Wi-Fi worked great! An amazing fall stay

This was such a great getaway. Hosts were fantastic. Recommended Jake’s on the lake for dinner - couldn’t have been happier. Our accommodations were incredible - many subtle touches that made our stay that much better. The outside space is terrific and the screened-in back room was awesome. The property was everything and more that it claimed! We couldn't get over the location. Kayaked every day we were there with perfect weather and really enjoyed the area. Valerie and David have a gem here and we can't thank them enough for sharing their home. Great place to relax and get away.

The view was fantastic. Mornings we sat in the living room and watched the river endlessly flowing past. At lunch we sat at the kitchen island and watched as the maple leaves came down one by one. We appreciated the privacy the place afforded inside and outside. We would stay here again.

It was very peaceful and the neighborhood is really quiet. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation this is it. The property is really nice and the river makes it very peaceful.I. I especially liked the huge screened in large porch that overlooked the river. The landscaping was really nice also. I will most likely rent this property in the future.
