A beautiful property with everything you need and more.
Plenty of space both indoors and outdoors.
Quality furnishings.
Ample parking for four cars.
Loads to do in the area.
We will stay here again.
We were surprised how beautiful and comfortable the house was. The location was convenient for the activities we wished to undertake. The rural setting with animals around was very peaceful. The only difficulty was using We Stay. It took time for answers, and not being able to deal with things easily was a bit annoying. i.e. there was no tea towels but we saw the owner who rectified directly. It really was a lovely, comfortable, luxurious stay and we would recommend.
We have rented numerous properties over the years and most often the description and photos are much less appealing than the actual place. This was the opposite for Chater Barn. The house and surrounding area were much more impressive than described. The house was spacious and comfortable. The living room was cozy with a wood burning stove, the kitchen had everything needed, and the master bedroom upstairs was quite large and perfect for our son, daughter in law and toddler. The view of the pond was beautiful and we very much enjoyed the sheep who frequented the hillside. We were there over Christmas and the hosts even decorated with a lovely tree and other decorations throughout, which was much appreciated! We couldn't have chosen a better place to spend Christmas than cozy Chater barn. If you want a place to truly get away, this is it.
A lovely and peaceful stay in the English countryside. The barn itself is clean and spacious, and the locale was perfect for a quiet getaway. We shall certainly be back!
