The room size and accommodations were good. Only thing we had issues with was the mattress. Not very comfortable at all. But front desk also very friendly.

This was our first time at Lakeview and we were impressed all around. The property is beautifully located on the lake with fantastic views. The motel room was rustic and quaint, perfect for me and my 2 teenagers. The owners of the property were extremely helpful and accommodating. I would highly recommend a stay here. The variety of places to stay on the property make it a good fit for anyone, and the playground, grills, picnic tables and pool make it great for families too.

What a surprise we found at the Athenaeum, a grand hotel from the 19th century, on beautiful Lake Chatauqua. On arrival, we found ourselves entering a gated community spread along the lake shore, with wonderful 19th and 20th century summer homes, within walking distance of the hotel. The entry to the hotel opens into a large traditional open lobby where the front desk sits opposite a wide staircase to the second and third floors, alongside a comfortable bar area where one can order food and cocktails. The rooms were clean and comfortable, which served our needs well. The staff were polite and eager to assist us. It was a wonderful experience to stay at the Athenaeum.

The room was clean and spacious. Our sink was clogged and because we got into our room quite late we didn’t report it until the morning. Breakfast was good - and hot! They kept everything well stocked and clean

There was no boutique or store for items, pharmaceuticals etc. No pharmacies or stores close by, so an opportunity for forgotten items or needed pharmacy items would have been convenient ...
