Dogwood Ridge Mountain House

  • Dogwood Ridge tiene 4,000 pies cuadrados con dos niveles. Cuenta con una hermosa gran sala de 27 '/ 23' w / gran chimenea de piedra, un comedor formal, cocina bien equipada y una gran área de juegos para niños en la planta baja.     Esta es una gran área para andar en motocicleta. Hay muchos paseos hermosos y con curvas que, por supuesto, incluyen la famosa carretera 'Cola del Dragón' donde hay 318 curvas en 11 millas. Igualmente maravilloso es un viaje en automóvil o motocicleta, el Cherhola Skyway es muy conocido por sus vistas panorámicas.     Hay muchas cosas para ver y hacer. El rafting fue muy divertido. La próxima vez queremos hacer algo de senderismo.

very nice and clean,

As usual we enjoyed our stay very much, there have been some updates that helped us. Gary is very easy to deal with and his staff do a great job of makeing us feel at home and the house is always clean. We have stayed here for a number of years and will be back next year.

Great home in Robbinsville

6 of rode motorcycles from upstate NY to do some riding in the Smokey mountains. This rental worked perfect for us. Nice and clean and great communication by owners. Hoping to come back

Dated but charming

The place is a charming little getaway in the woods, very much enjoyed our stay here. Thr host was very responsive. Master bathroom is carpeted which was weird and the driveway isnt really meant for very low cars as well as a little slippery when wet.

Nice house, plenty of room.

No cell coverage, which makes it great if you want to disconnect. If not, make sure your cell works on data. :) Owners and cleaning person were great to work with.

Bike Trip 2023

The house was spacious, a dated, but very clean. The kitchen was nicely stocked with bowls, pans, utensils and numerous other conveniences. The beds were quite comfy. The showers were nice and hot. The driveway was rather tricky on the bikes. Things got alittle squirrelly on the wet gravel incline. That front porch was a tranquilizer with the hummingbirds, babbling brook and wildlife. We were 7 adults residing and we had plenty of room. Was a great house.

The house accommodated our party of 5 adults nicely. With the exception of hair dryers and a strong Internet signal, the property had everything we needed during our stay. It definitely could use some and updating, but the hosts are very accommodating and the new appliances were great. We were riding motorcycles and definitely appreciated the garage for storage and parking. I have to disagree with a previous review that the gravel driveway was no issue. For fully packed, heavy touring bikes with passengers, it was less than desirable. I hope the owner considers concreting at least the tighter turn. The rest was manageable.

Peaceful and relaxing getaway!!!

House is dated but clean. The master bed is VERY firm. Overall a very charming and peaceful retreat. Had a great time enjoying the fall foliage! EXCELLENT location for mountain roads like the tail of the dragon while being off on a side road to avoid all the traffic noise.

Perfect for us

The property had everything we needed to make for a good long weekend. It's a quiet location with a peaceful front porch. The house is a bit dated, but that didn't bother us at all! Thanks to the host for making everything easy.

Mountain motor cycle ride 2022

We rented this house in May of 2021 & it was very accessible to everything & everywhere we go, plus we had a garage to keep our motorcycles at night & during the rain we had, we will be back for another stay in May 2023 we're already making plans for next year, I have spoken with Mr.Stoltz the owner & he is a very nice host & is always concerned that we have a good stay, he is very accessible to you anytime you need him, great host to deal with, the drive way was not a problem to ride our bikes up, thanks for letting us stay again, see you next year.

excellent stay

The cabin was Hugh, the older adults stayed on the bottom floor and the younger adults stays on the upper floor. The best of two worlds. The home was very clean and meet all are needs. we were grateful that we were able to bring our pet. Would highly recommend this cabin.

Stay for the tail

Comfort, location, view was all perfect. Came for a trip to the tail of the dragon, and only went once, spent more time in home than originally planned.

What a peaceful and beautiful weekend.

I loved were the cabin was. It brought back wonderful memories of growing up in the country. The cabin was so comfortable and clean. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Great mountain getaway

Really enjoyed our stay. Came up for a motorcycle trip and the house was everything we needed. It is a little older but there were no issues, water pressure was great and the house was very clean. Would definitely recommend it.

House was very clean and well stocked with some kitchen and bathroom basics. Plenty of room to stretch out and relax after a day of hiking.

Great central location

We had a great time at Dogwood Ridge! We were able to use the property and visit different hiking trails around the area. It was also a close drive to Asheville for a quick day of site seeing. The home is very well equipped, best stocked VRBO I’ve ever been to, in fact. The beds were comfy and the ping pong table received lots of use. Our favorite part of the house was by far the back porch. Nothing like coffee and a babbling brook! We hope to visit again sometime. Thanks for a great stay!

great stay in the mountains

owner was very good to deal with, we had no problem riding our motorcycles up to the house, the first day & a half we were rained out from riding but we just hung around the house & relaxed, it was nice to have a garage to park our bikes in to keep them out of the rain, house location is convenient to Robbinsville, Cherahola Skyway , tail of the dragon, & many other good roads for riding motorcycles, the house is very well equipped all you have to bring is your food, it was the best kitchen for any rental I have ever used I told the owner we will definitely stay again next year.

Stay in Nature

We have enjoyed the stay and it was spacious, clean and had all the utensils for cooking. Kids enjoyed the basement. The instructions provided by property owner was useful.

The place where we stay had some issues, but was about to work them out with owner, it had lots of room , the owner was a very nice guy, I would stay there again!
