"Somehow, although we knew it was in the mountains, none of us was quite prepared for the long and winding hill to get to the place. Our old cars struggled a little but we prevailed. There are also multiple streets that have variations on “Chestnut” so make sure you’re aiming for the right one. The park police are very helpful if you get confused. Ask me how I know. "This was such a beautiful house, I wish we could stay forever. We loved the hot tub, tromping through the woods, exploring the resort’s trails, and just spending time as a family! There are so many great trails nearby, and we had to go into Shenandoah National Park of course! We also enjoyed an apple orchard, went through the grand caverns (about an hour away), and played lots of cards! My cell reception wasn’t practically nonexistent, but that’s to be expected high in the mountains. Lovely...
