The staff were all nice. The property is very charming and it was really nice to smell the flowers in the courtyard when I came back to the hotel. The library and sitting room were very cute but I had no use for them… it was open air and in July it’s too hot and mosquitoes love me.its a convenient area if you like restaurants and bars in walking distance. Chiang Rai bus terminal 1 is super close as well as the night market. Hotel is across from the big clock and swarms of swallows come out at dusk to feed on bugs.
I did not like the blinking lights (telephone & smoke detector) it’s quite bright when the room is pitch black. Also, there is no door to close off the bathroom. There’s a privacy door to the toilet and one to the shower on the other end, however no actual bathroom door. So yes you can literally smell and hear EVERYTHING if you are rooming with others.
