Went there for my son's graduation ceremony. It was a good place to stay since it was just me. The lounge area is small and not much spots to hang out with your graduate Sailor. So keep that in mind.

This is a nice hotel in North Chicago near the Naval Base. The beds are very comfortable, the linens are clean and bright. The shower puts out a nice spray, the refrigerator is small, but works. There is no microwave in the room. Thank you for a nice stay.

Decent soft mattress, functional A/C. Weak shower pressure and a minifridge that was barely cool inside but still managed to freeze everything solid. Super convenient distance to gas, food and the Naval Graduation. Bring your own pillow if you are staying more than a night. Has a casino, so weird IMO. No treadmill or weights, but a slot machine…

Room was clean. Conveniently near the base and other public places to eat or gas up. Breakfast was good but only gives you a 2 hr window for breakfast as it’s over by 9am. Refrigerator and a safe in the room but no microwave. One microwave on first floor and ice machine. Tv limited channels that didn’t match up with the guide. Overall I was still satisfied because of the location and the beds were so comfortable.

We stayed in the Sleep Inn due to activities at the Naval Base. It was very close, very quiet. Breakfast was nice. I would highly recommend this hotel if you're visiting Great Lakes.

It’s close to Great Lakes naval base and that’s really good. The room was ok. Nothing fancy is just to stay for few days. They offer free breakfast. The place was clean. I didn’t have any issues. Would recommend.

Upon my arrival, I discovered the establishment to be both inviting and well-maintained. However, I believe that the second floor would benefit from improved lighting. The staff was very nice and helpful. The bathroom was clean and great. the bed is very old and not good and the air conditioning system is so loud going on and off every short while. Other than some of these older features that need upgrade the room was good.

The staff were all awesome!! The bedding and towel were clean. The rooms need a deep cleaning. Carpets, corners and woodwork, doors and handles. The people working here made up for the shortcomings. Superb staff, especially young lady working Wednesday, July15,2026. She was extremely helpful in guiding us on protocols for getting tickets for grandsons U.S.Navy graduation boot camp. SO helpful.

If you are booking this property to attend graduation at the Great Lakes Naval base then this is it. Very close proximity. You can't go wrong. Days Inn is right next to it as well.. There is a shuttle service that is quite reliable. This is an independent service. They charge 5.00 per person one way to RTC. You can also book them for travel to or from the airport. Cost about 75.00. There is a Macdonald and dunkin donut right there as well. Plus other eating places. Now lets talk about the actual property. I think the property can do with a face lift. House keeping is upon request. Breakfast leaves much to be desired. I could not eat it. The staff is helpful. I checked in late but called in advance. What I liked best is how they decorated the place for the sailors graduation. They create the excitement. If you are coming in late the airport taxi is around 135.00 from O'Hara. Hot. Overall the property met my expectations.

It was very run down.. serves its purpose. Our first room hadn’t been cleaned. There was garbage in the pail and towels weren’t folded but the front desk was saying it was cleaned. Ok. Clean room, ac worked great, breakfast was great. Be aware you’ll have to request housekeeping if you want it during your stay. But the staff is great if you need anything!
