Comfortable and relaxing accommodation
The property is well set up and very comfortable. The hosts were very helpful, too. The location is ideal for exploring the local area and the towns of Ludlow and Shrewsbury. We really enjoyed our stay. Car parking across the road in the hotel car park proved very satisfactory and we enjoyed meals in the restaurant.

Comfy stay
Ideal spot for us to meet up with family. Lovely property, cosy and welcoming as all older (properly built!!) houses mostly are! We wanted for nothing as the place is very well equipped. Plenty of room for 4 of us and our dog. Well situated for the touring we wished to do with decent eats and drinks across the road. The host was very friendly and helpful and our check in process was a piece of cake. All in all an excellent stay, thanks, definately 5 stars!!

Family Visit
A beautiful cottage with everything we could possibly need for our holiday visiting this lovely area of Shropshire. Great walks nearby and nice towns/villages. Easy to have food in the pub opposite or pick something up in nearby Church Stretton or Craven Arms. The cottage was perfect for our family, lovely outdoor spaces and nice to relax in the conservatory in the warm sunny evenings. We would definitely like to come again.

Perfect place to stay in South Shropshire
The house was lovely and clean with a really nice atmosphere about it. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. Sofas in front room were very comfortable however the television was a bit more complicated than ours but we figured it out in the end 🙂 Dave and Pam have managed to make a real home from home. We hope to stay again.

Nice place & location
Especially wonderful to have dinner at the Station Inn after a long drive from Liverpool. Great recommendation! One suggestion: why not have just two keys for entering and leaving, so people don't have to figure out which one for the upper lock.

Great location for walks in Shropshire. Cottage was old fashioned, but added to it's charm. Bathroom + kitchen clean + modern. Only negative was TV. No terrestrial apart from playback. Fantastic pub restaurant over road. Book in advance - even mid November! Very enjoyable stay. Would recommend.

Good communication with Pam and the property was as described. Super comfortable bed and the kitchen well stocked. We had a couple of problems with the shower which I communicated with Pam but otherwise all good! The conservatory was also a fab place to sit and read.

We needed somewhere to stay for five nights at short notice and found this cottage, which turned out to be a really lovely find. It was immaculately clean, superbly equipped and, in spite of being on a road, a peaceful place to relax in comfort.

Home from home
There is a lot to see and do in this part of Shropshire and being based at this lovely little cottage in Marshbrook was just perfect. After a long day walking the hills, visiting Ludlow or Shrewsbury, traversing the Ironbridge, exploring ruined castles and priories and even Roman cities, it was great to come 'home' to this cosy cottage that made us feel so welcome. It has all the facilities required for a short stay holiday and when we had a minor problem Pam was quick to get it sorted and even sent the neighbours round to help. Good food food can be had at The Station (their steak is magnificent but if you want a burger cooked well through you need to stress that to the staff) and at The Plough at Winstanstow, which is next to its own brewery, as well as the numerous cafes and restaurants in the nearby towns. The walks at Carding Mill are lovely and we highly recommend them. One of our favourite trips was to Stokesay Castle with its gorgeous 17thC gatehouse (and nearby tearoom). To summarise, we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in Shropshire, and wouldn't hesitate to stay at this lovely cottage again in the future.
