Terri Smith and Jeff Zemanek had a vision to create a small boutique hotel allowing guest to experience the best of Historic Newport.
The Newport Inn is located at 634 Monmouth St., close to restaurants, family activities, great views, nightlife, sporting events (20-minute walk for a ballgame), river fronts in Newport and downtown Cincinnati. You’ll love the ambiance, the people, the outdoors space, the lively neighborhood. Make sure to check out Newport on the Levee with live music, comedy clubs, and a world class aquarium. Seasonal Ghost Tours, as well as Gangster Tours will give you a historic perspective of this quaint town!

This particular suite is great for two couples to explore the city and nightlife, or for families taking in games, the aquarium, tours, and more!
This 900 sqft, second floor suite is a 2 BR (King Serta i-Comfort beds) with a non-working fireplace in each, and a large walk-in shower. Located just a few blocks from the Ohio River, we are located right in the heart of the historic district in a beautiful turn of the century building. If you would also like to experience the big city, a walk or carriage ride to downtown Cincinnati creates a whole new dimension. The end result is a luxurious stay, which combines the best of both worlds. Jeff's career led him to spending many nights in hotels and not always satisfied by what he found. When we decided to build an inn, there were criteria which had to be met: 1. Great beds! 2. Great shower! 3. Variety of pillows! 4. Peace and quiet! 5. Free Wi-Fi! 6. HD TVs with HD signal! 7. Outside area to relax! 8. A full kitchen to make it feel like home! Lastly, a friendly staff who is there to help with recommendations or whatever is needed to make it a special stay!!

Comfortable stay
We stayed at Newport Inn when we went to a Reds vs Cardinals game. The place was very clean and looked like the pictures. We used the trolley to go to and from the game which worked out very well. The walk to get to the stop was easy. Although there were many bars near where we were dropped off the area immediately around the inn was quiet.

My sister and I stayed while on a sister’s trip. The unit was clean, tastefully decorated & very comfortable. We had a quick easy walk to Newport @ Levee and found some great dining options. The hosts went above & beyond with their transparent, quick communications and graciously enabled an early check-in after our travel plans changed. Highly recommend for others and will stay again the next time in the area! We loved sitting on the community deck relaxing & reading after dinner. (Quick note for anyone with mobility issues, access is only by stairs)

We chose this property because us was close to the venue where we would be spending most of our time just north of the river in downtown Cincinnati. The accommodations were very nice. I particularly liked the pocket doors that allowed me to rise early without interrupting others sleeping. Having snacks and coffee available was a nice touch too. I had some difficulty with the unit being on the second level due to chronic back problems. But I knew this at time of booking and feel that is not on anyone but me. I would still consider renting this unit again.

Excellent property
The Inn was very clean, well appointed, spacious and very comfortable. It is with in walking distance to shops, bars and restaurants. Not to mention the Levee at Newport and downtown Cincinnati. When I have an occasion to come back to the area, I will definitely stay here again.

Quaint and clean
Easy check in and communication with owner. Nice outdoor space in warmer weather .Location is within walking distance to restaurants and shopping and convenient proximity to Cincinnati. We stayed on a Saturday night and the noise from nearby bar was noticeable until after midnight ( music and people) which I thought was worth noting.

Convenient location to explore Newport and Cincinnati. Well explained directions and check-in/out process. The included parking was great! Very clean and tidy. The hosts provided snacks, bottled water and plenty of towels. The accommodations were perfect for 2 adults and our teenage son. Beds were comfortable. The bedrooms are on the street side of the building, so it was difficult to fall asleep on the busy weekend. I guess that's typical though for city life. We also enjoyed walking to Press for breakfast!

We were in town for a concert and this was the perfect place ( within a short walk) to the arena! Loved the charm of the historic downtown ! The large window overlooking the Main Street was one of my favorite views . Host had great communication the entire stay. Wish we had more time , will be back for sure !

I thought this property was very nice and well priced. It was so convenient to be able to let ourselves in. The apartment was very clean and beds were comfortable. Love the blackout curtains. One room had a door with a clouded window in it so during the day it was bright in there from the skylights in the living room. Only an issue for us since we had a napping baby but I easily moved her to the other room once I realized it. Plentiful towels. There’s a cool QR code to order drinks from the store downstairs. We didn’t use it but I thought that was nice! Would definitely stay here again. One of the better places I’ve stayed recently.

Convenient with very comfy beds
The Newport Inn was lovely and conveniently located, the beds were extremely comfy and the owners were very responsive. The only reason we didn’t give it 5 stars for the neighborhood was that there were groups of loud people hanging out on the sidewalk under our windows until around 3 AM (on a Thursday). If we return, I’d still stay here but bring my earplugs.
