Convenient Location

Posted Oct 31, 2015
Location: Disc Golf
Location is convenient, being next to two restaurants and near the Lakeport "Strip" and the lake itself. The owner isn't the friendliest person in the world but there are a lot of shady characters roaming around so he has to be on watch.

Adequate at best

Posted Sep 30, 2015
Pros: location was close to where I needed to go
Cons: add a clock and phone in room at least. Get better soap (shampoo was fine)
Location: This was not a leisure trip, I had business to attend to but it is near Clearlake and there is lots to do (boating, fishing, casinos) in the area
The room they gave us had not been cleaned so we had to move to another. No clock or phone in the room so if you need a wake up call or alarm make sure to use your cell phone. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was clean but no waste basket in bathroom (there was one in the dressing area). Very cheap soap. They had a microwave and a fridge in the room, that was appreciated. Also there is an ice machine, a good thing. The city was doing road work all night right in from of the hotel, not the hotel's fault but we didn't get much sleep. Check in staff was polite. No one at the office on checkout around 9 AM so we just left the key in the room.

Decent stay. Sketchy crowd.

The hotel seemed clean overall, with the exception of the box springs, which had all manner of stains. Maid service did not happen on our 2 night stay. The rooms were still disheveled when we got back from boating. The guy in the office was very friendly and helpful. I had to get more towels and he was very nice. Overall, the hotel related things were reasonable for this town. However, it appeared that people were living there. One adult male approached my teenage daughter and followed her in the parking lot asking for a lighter. She was creeped out. A few people would hang out smoking on the steps regularly. There was no trouble there while we were there, but we supervised the kids when they went outside.

Only hotel available in the town for 2 night stay

Posted Jul 21, 2015
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: See above.
Location: We were attending a reunion and unfortunately there does not seem to be a lot to do and many businesses were empty.
This hotel was awful!! It was the most uncleanly hotel I think I have ever stayed in. My husband and I made sure to only put everything on a hard surface and did not touch the blanket or spread and definitely did not go barefoot. There were two cars there on Friday and a few more on Saturday. With all the rooms they had to choose from to put people in, they put these people right next to us. The walls are paper thin so we could here the people in the other room pretty clearly. I would actually rather sleep in a tent and I hate camping!!

There are better alternatives

I came with a boat for a fishing tournament. I stayed 4 nights. Room was adequate. Decent location in Lakeport. Negs: they charged me $10/night to charge my boat batteries. Parking for a boat is poor. Neighbors fought loudly unto 1:30am.

Needs work

The room was shabby with flaking paint, flimsy locks, heater that didn't work. Smelled terrible. Front desk man was nice but I was shocked to see how awful the room was. Needs a total renovation.

Not as advertised

Posted Mar 2, 2015
Pros: It is close to the near by shops. There are also hotels next door that are close too.
Cons: Revamping the place, offer breakfast like advertised, clean up facilities, bedding, and parking lot.
Location: Theres a huge lake and park near by.
Hotel is advertised online as having breakfast. This is intact not true. When I checked in and asked the times of breakfast I was told to go across the street to the cafe. There was random furniture out sitting in parking lot. Place was rundown and not well taken care of. The room bedding was my last straw. The pillows and sheets had dark hair on them randomly throughout all the bedding. Very disappointed.

go next door

The pool on the website is in complete disarray and when we asked for extra pillows and towels they gave us 1 even though they had more available. Definitely not a "customer first" place. The beds are also rock hard, hence the need for more pillows.
