Beautifully appointed cottage in quiet surroundings. We enjoyed easy access to the Hawkes Bay cycle/walk trail. Excellent breakfast supplies were available and citrus fruit to pick. A very comfortable, warm place to stay. Highly recommended.

Lovely cottage ,pretty setting. Enjoyed sitting out on deck in sunshine. Cottage clean and comfy . Two thinnish pillows each but bed comfy and warm. Enjoyed fresh eggs for breakfast! Thank you. Would come again

Great communication from the start. Beautiful place to unwind and enjoy the sound and fresh smell of the sea only a 4-minute walk away, and feed the chooks if that takes your fancy. Rachel was easy to work with and made us feel welcome even providing breakfast for the next morning - fresh eggs and bread. We will be back next time in the HB. Cheers, guys.

A lovely idyllic setting to spend a few days. Our stay was for 4 nights and while the accommodation was very cosy the bathroom in our shared cottage proved to be an annoyance. After 4 people showering in the mobility shower with an inadequate curtain most of the bathroom floor was wet and having to mop and dry was a nuisance. Also we were not advised and we made the mistake of not reading the manual of the fact that there was no service and no change of towels until after the 3rd day as long as you asked for them the night before. We felt that one shouldn't have to ask and that towels should be automatically changed for a 4 night stay as well as rubbish to be removed. We would definitely stay again but not the shared cottage rather the one bedroom which is more spacious with better bathroom and bigger kitchen.

Underbart boende med lugnt läge men ändå bara 10 min från allt, Napier, Havelock north, Hastings, vingårdar, fågelsafari, Te Mata Peak och andra utflyktsmål. Endast tre stugor, så lugnt. Stugan var lagom rymlig och välutrustad och i mycket gott skick. Bra wifi-uppkoppling. Trevlig trädgård med mycket växter på framsidan. På baksidan en liten gräsplan med schack och boulebana och ett spelrum med dart och biljard. Mycket trevligt bemötande och vi fick bra och relevanta tips för utflykter. Det fanns även lite fruktträd och örtträdgård som vi gäster kunde ta av. Vi kände oss verkligen välkomna och trivdes så bra att vi bokade ett par extranätter. Vi kan verkligen rekommendera detta boende.

Beautiful secluded cottages but still quick access to Napier. Neil and Sandra were amazing hosts and provided us with fresh eggs from their chickens on the first morning. Was a great place to stay and would recommend 100% to others

Lovely cottages

Clive Colonial Cottages exceeded our expectations. Our cottage was imacculately clean, modern, spacious, well equipped and very comfortable. We did not expect to find farm fresh eggs, bread, butter, orange juice, etc. Neil and Sandra are very welcoming and friendly and gave us advice on what to see in the area. There are two great wineries nearby, and Hastings and Napier are only a short drive away. We highly recommend Clive Cottages.

Magnificent cottages in a quiet area not far from Napier, a great place to base yourself, can’t speak highly enough of the cottage, absolutely beautiful surroundings, wonderful hosts! Our only regret, we couldn’t stay longer! It’s a 5 stars from us. You won’t regret your stay.

We were warmly welcomed by Sandra and were delighted with our accommodation. The cottages are beautifully decorated and furnished and are of an extremely high standard. Unfortunately the weather was not so good so we were unable to make use of the beautiful gardens. We would love to have stayed longer. Hopefully we will return!

Outstanding Stay at Clive Cottages

Clive is conveniently located near Napier and touring wineries of Hawkes Bay. Clive Cottages was an excellent option for us. Sandra of Clive Cottages greets you with a warm welcome and is anxious to tell guests about the touring options in the area. She also made reservations for us to have special dinner at winery. We stayed in Fantail and it was perfectly appointed with comfortable bed, modern bathroom, small kitchen and seating area. She even gave us fresh eggs from her coup. The gardens are lovely. Great experience!

Mint Cottage In Stunning Garden Setting

Absolutely immaculate character cottage set in beautiful private gardens, also immaculate. Fabulous hosts that supplied everything we could have needed for a peaceful relaxing stay. Loved the fresh eggs from their hens with the welcoming first nights' breakfast supplied. Everything you'd expect from a major 5 star hotel but with bucketloads of ambience! 2 minutes walk to beach, 2 minutes drive or cycle to shops, 10 minutes to Napier township. Just perfect :)

The cottage was ideally located to accommodate our touring & sight seeing plans. The owners were extremely friendly & helpful & the cottage was very well equipped & comfortable. All aspects of the cottage were to a very high standard.
