"Amazing options for breakfast! Hotel was clean and staff was amazing. Checking in after a 16 hr drive Veronica made it quick and easy for us to check in her hospitality was on point as well as the rest of the staff we encountered on our stay. "

"I quite enjoyed my stay at the Mountaineer Inn. I went for Lurch Fest (in August), a fest for Philippi native Ted Cassidy, tv’s original Lurch. I had read reviews before I booked so know that there have been some upgrades. They DO have key cards and shampoo in the bathrooms. I saw some new flooring so it looks like renovations have started. The Philippi Inn is the nearby restaurant and it’s right next door although it’s not far into town. I had to go this trip without a car, which I knew would be difficult. Don’t plan on taking an Uber anywhere. They are few and far between unless you schedule them in advance, which seems to be the key. But Debbie, the manager of the hotel and her husband gave me a ride into town one day when I couldn’t get a car! I did not expect that. All in all, the main thing is that the Mountaineer Inn is a good value."

"The service was great. The room was very clean. The only small complaint is it seems they shampooed the carpet and left a damp smell that almost smelled like wet dog. Febreeze helped though. "

"This was our 3rd year at this cabin and it was wonderful as always. We mostly enjoyed the deck, creek and hot tub. Tue seclusion is just what we needed ro unwind. The host is super responsive. We will be back again next year!"

"We absolutely loved this cabin! Plenty of room inside and out. Teresa is a gem! She goes beyond to make sure your stay is the most comfortable! We enjoyed the hot tub so much, we're thinking about buying one now. If you want to just rest, relax, read, reboot yourself, this is the perfect place.
