Hotel itself very clean, great location. Sadly very let down by its staff and customer service. Following our arrival by plane/train we checked in at 1pm and was told our room would be ready by 3. When we got back to the hotel at 5pm we were told the hotel was overbooked and we couldnt have the king size we booked and had to have a twin instead. This was followed by around 15 minutes of silence whilst the check-in staff spoke to someone via the computer. Although eventually rectified a wholly embarrassing ordeal especially whilst someone walked in beside us and paid for a king size, apparently preferential to those that have already paid. Then came a meal in the hotel restaurant, appallingly slow service, forgot to give us menus and the first time I've ever not left a service charge. We were in there for around 3 hours for 2 courses. Our room was clean, but the toiletries were empty, there was no milk in the room and only 1 teabag for a 2 night stay. Unfortunately I wouldnt recommend it to family/ friends
