Peaceful Family Oriented Retreat

Welcome to the Calor Nest retreat in Manitou Springs! Our neighborhood is nestled up in the hills with gorgeous views surrounding. A stay in our cozy place will be the perfect space to rest after exploring downtown Manitou, climbing the Manitou Incline, hiking around Garden of the Gods, or walking through Old Colorado City. Pikes Peak is right out front and Red Rock Canyon Open Space has lots of gorgeous trails that are accessible from our neighborhood.

We have converted our basement into a beautiful 3 bedroom/1 bath unit including a kitchenette/laundry with a complete remodel for a fresh and comfortable feel. You will have a private entrance through the walkout patio door.

We live upstairs with our two girls! We also have an older dog, Chai, and a younger dog, Nala, who loves to meet new people. While our dogs love to get any attention you want to give them, we understand not everyone loves doggie love and are happy to accommodate.

While the inside has been extensively updated, the outside is still a work in progress. Please be patient with us as we bring it up to par with the indoor space! Also, we would appreciate any feedback you might have on how we can improve our space!

Smoking is absolutely prohibited on our property inside and outside. If you smoke on our property you WILL be asked to leave. If we find evidence that smoking occurred this WILL be noted in your public review and a fine will be charged. This is to protect our family, our house and the next family that will be staying in the space.

Great property and location!
Came to Manitou Springs for a quick weekend getaway with my dad and brother. Property was in a quiet neighborhood close to downtown and a short drive to Old Colorado City. Check-in was a breeze and the property was perfect for us. Thoughtful amenities and very clean. Would highly recommend this property!

We very much enjoyed staying at Caleb and Taylor's property. The location was extremely convenient for accessing downtown Manitou, the Cliff Dwellings and Pikes Peak. It is obvious that they want to ensure a pleasant stay for their guests, as the house is well stocked, clean and welcoming. They were immediately available for any questions we had. Perfect Family Getaway
We had an amazing week at the Calor Nest! Everything has been very well thought out down to every detail. The furniture and beds were very comfortable, and there were movies to watch and games to play with our kids. We loved being able to come back and relax in-between our adventures and it felt like a home away from home. Our family loved getting up early to see the mule deer that came into the yard every morning and the views of Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak were fantastic. There is a great park nearby to walk to and Red Rock Canyon Trailhead is right up the road! We loved getting to know Caleb and Taylor. They gave us plenty of privacy but we’re always available to give advice, chat, and really make us feel welcome to the area. We also enjoyed greetings from their dogs Nala and Chai. We stayed two nights while traveling from Dallas to Boulder. Our stay was wonderful. The property is perfect for families. Plenty of space to be comfy and rest after sightseeing. Everything we needed was provided. We didn’t get to use the firepit table because of rain, but it looks really nice. The kitchen is well stocked and very spacious. A dining room is also perfect. Beds are comfy and bedrooms are wonderful. We’ll plan on staying here again when we travel to Manitou!

Lovely, spacious, excellent location
We loved staying here. Lots of space for 2 couples, very clean, welcome wine, beer, and seltzer. The kitchen has everything you need--oil, vinegar, spices, basic baking stuff, plenty of pans and storage containers. Nice toiletries in the bathroom. Also games, TV, washer/dryer. Caleb and Taylor have really thought of everything. And they are very friendly and communication was excellent. The location is incredible: 1/2 mile from Red Rock Canyon hiking and biking trails, minutes to Manitou Springs, a Safeway, and Adam's Mountain House restaurant. I can't imagine a better place to stay.

One of the best vrbos I’ve rented
Not only was the basement suite perfect for the four of us but the hosts were so amazing. Coffee, condiments, appliances, towels, etc. were all provided with excellent quality and there was plenty of room to spare for us 4 adults. Caleb and Taylor were beyond kind, we had great conversations with them, and we were given really good recommendations from the locals. We even got to meet their adorable baby and well behaved dogs. We had plenty of privacy when needed also, it was a great stay for us and we would definitely book with them again for future Colorado Springs stays.
