nothing to like at this particular aloft hotel. This aloft is a very poor representation of Marriot boutique hotels. Have stayed at other aloft hotels and they were modern, clean and no problem stays. This aloft gives Marriot a bad name. The service was poor, check in was poor (had 2 reserved rooms, booked 6 months in advance). We arrived at 8pm and only one room was ready?? Checkin is at 3, so why has the rooms not been cleaned and ready??? Rooms were in poor condition (no toilet paper holder, shower doors leaked water all over the floor, bathroom door wouldn't close, dirty, sticky carpet). Was not informed that a form had to be filled out to have housekeeping. Asked for new towels and they weren't sure if they had any. They were understaffed we were told. The front desk person also was the bartender. The housekeeping service had a random person who could barely speak english and didnt wear a housekeeping uniform like the other housekeeping personnel and referred to the other housekeeper as her "friend" (weird). Just a poor stay overall and did not feel comfortable at all. Like I said, we have stayed at other aloft hotels and enjoyed, but this was a very unpleasant experience.
