\\"Santa Chiara\\" is a spacious and bright apartment located on the first floor of a condominium in the city of Como. This apartment is approximately a 15-minute drive from the historical city centre, which can also be easily reached by bus. The apartment features meticulously crafted, modern, and functional furnishings. Additionally, it boasts a large balcony with mountain views that will allow you to relax in complete privacy.

The apartment is ideal for a group of friends or a family, as it can accommodate up to 6 people. It features a double bedroom, a room with two single beds, and a sofa bed in the living room. A fully equipped kitchen with everything you will need and a convenient bathroom with a bathtub and shower complete the apartment\\'s rooms. Additionally, you will find free WiFi and a flat-screen television in the apartment.

NEIGHBORHOOD  
  
\\"Santa Chiara\\" is located a 15-minute drive away from the historical centre of Como. The historical centre hosts many historical monuments, including the Como Cathedral, a Gothic cathedral dating back to the fourteenth century, and the Broletto, a medieval town hall. The lakeside promenade is perfect for walks, jogging, or cycling, and it offers a magnificent view of the lake and the surrounding mountains.  
  
GETTING AROUND  
  
To reach the centre of Como, you can also use the bus, especially the ASF C6 and C11 lines. In downtown Como, from the San Giovanni train station, there are trains that regularly depart for Milan and Switzerland (Lugano, Bellinzona, Locarno). From the Como Lago train station you can reach Milano Cadorna train station.  
  
In the city of Como and nearby towns, ASF Autolinee buses are in operation – the bus station is just one minute on foot from the flat. Tickets can be obtained from the driver (cash only) or in designated places (the main bus station in Piazza Matteotti, bars, and tobacco stores). Taxis are also available. However, the historical centre, the main sightseeing objects and the lake are a walking distance away from the property.  
  
From the pier in central Como, a local ferry service will take you to Cernobbio, Torno, Bellagio, Varenna, Colico, and other lakeside towns. Please note – if traveling in high season, we advise you to be patient with long waiting lines at the ticket office. Tickets can also be bought online on the Navigazione Laghi website.  
  
The nearest airports are Milano Malpensa, Milano Linate, and Orio Al Serio in Bergamo. It is possible to arrange a direct shuttle to and from the airport at an additional cost.

\>We advise you to take a day to visit the marvelous little towns around the lake. Como city is the urban center of the area, but the little towns are gems with glorious lakeside villas.  
  
\>To travel and walk around Lake Como, especially in the little towns, comfortable shoes are a must.  
  
\>There are many public drinking-water fountains in the area, and the water is safe to drink unless stated otherwise. Tap water is also drinkable. You can carry your own refillable bottle!  
  
\>If you are looking for a relatively easy hike in the area and want to enjoy mountain views anyway, Lake Como Greenway is a wonderful, easy-to-follow trail that connects the lakeside towns from Colonno to Griante and doesn\\'t require too much walking uphill. A bus can take you from Como to the starting point in Colonno.  
  
\>Look for traditional restaurants where you can try local foods such as Lake Como fish dishes.  
  
\>In Italy, many shops (especially the little ones) and services are closed in the middle of the day, so be careful to plan your shopping accordingly.  
  
\>Lake Como is one of the deepest lakes in Europe and the deepest in Italy. Swimming and diving are prohibited in many areas and can be dangerous. For those who wish to dwell in the water, however, there are some options. In Como city, there is an outdoor pool near Villa Olmo, but generally swimming in the lake is prohibited in many areas. There are beaches in other lakeside towns.  
  
Lido di Bellagio and pebbly San Giovanni beach will be waiting for those who wish to travel and explore the beautiful town of Bellagio which lies in the middle of the two Larian branches. Locals and visitors also enjoy traveling to Nesso where the bravest swimmers can jump into the lake from the ancient Roman bridge near the waterfall.  
  
\>Lake Como is located in a mountainous region. The surrounding pre-Alps might not seem very high, but the climate is nevertheless affected by the nearby mountains, and temperatures can change quickly. Be particularly attentive to the weather when hiking, and bring some warm and waterproof clothes with you!
