The Lily Pad, headwaters of Eden Falls

  • Enjoy this cozy cabin nestled in the heart of the Ozarks on a 100-acre farm and 3 acre fishing pond. Lily Pad is centrally located for all your upper Buffalo River activities. All the perks of a national park can be sought along with the joys of living on a farm. Watch granny milk each morning and enjoy the butter, eggs, and meat grown right here. This cabin comes with a yard of your own, a fire pit (firewood 5$ an armload), an ice maker, a smart tv with free Wi-Fi, a charcoal grill, and modern plumbing to make this little cabin your home away from home. Directions- Take Firetower road off of highway 43. Go exactly 3.5 miles and turn left on Crossroads road. Pass Crossroads church and stay straight, (do not take Stoverville to the left directly after the church, it takes you to Ponca the back way, down the mountain). Bring your fishing pole for the pond and do not forget to ask about farm raised products including beef, butter, eggs, and more! We do have Pyrenees dogs who watch over the farm, they are harmless and part of the landscape.

Spring Break Getaway

The Lily Pad was perfect for a mom and sons getaway! The cabin was cozy and perfect - we had everything we needed and the setting was amazing! We saw elk every day, and my boys loved fishing in the pond and exploring. It's close to Ponca and some great hiking!

This location was a little piece of paradise. You get the the seclusion, nature, great views and a farm vibe all in one. The cabin is small, but very cozy and cute. The pond view is lovely. The cows, the chickens and especially the Great Pyrenees dogs were a nice added bonus. The location was fairly close to some great hiking trails and not far from the city of Jasper and some good restaurants there. We really enjoyed our stay, and hope to return one day.

Beautiful litlle cabin!

The cabin and location were great! It was right in the area of all the hikes I wanted to do. Host is a little hard to get a hold of, or for me at least. Overall, great experience!

Eclipse Get Away

A nice place to just relax and enjoy nature. Great view of the Lilly pond from the front porch, very secluded place. Will be a great base for experiencing the Buffalo River, hiking,kayaking and canoeing.The owner is very kind and accommodating a great source for finding places of interest in the area. I would definitely go back to this cabin again.

Once we got ahold of the property owner, which was difficult, they came down to apologize and gave us some of the rich history about the property. Adorable cabin, quiet & relaxing!!! Communication aside, I’d go back & recommend!

Place to unwind

Good place to sit and unwind all day, or, to rest by the fire after a day of activites. Kitchen had eveythin we needed. And comfotable beds. Good view. Quiet, except for the sounfs of nature. Highly recomended

Quaint and cozy with everything you need at this little cabin. Host was so kind and helpful. Bed and bedding very comfortable. Nicer than the pictures. There is a bed where the sofa is pictured in the listing so you don’t have to sleep in the loft. Good proximity to popular hiking areas. Definitely recommend this property. You’ll especially appreciate the quiet, rural setting if needing a getaway from the city!

Beautiful location

Traveling down the long drive to the cabin you'll see cows, hillsides, a small church and cemetery, and probably two Great Pyrenees. The pond is right out the front door. The cabin is cozy, but everything you need is outside- a firepit, a grill and a clean picnic table. There's good wi-fi and hot water for a great shower (although the shower itself is very small). The host is very responsive and helpful. I highly recommend this cabin for a remote getaway.

Very peaceful and quiet place! Cabin was nice. No ice machine as advertised, shower very small, Bed not very comfy! Communication was not good! Asked about local meat, what they had, got no response. Asked about checkout instructions, host (Ronald/Ronnie) very rude responding. Not sure we would go back!

The Lily Pad is cute and more well-stocked than some larger vrbos. The drive into the property is gorgeous and peaceful. The views are great. We were comfortable and cozy on a 40 degree mid-spring evenin, plus it was an easy 10 minutes from the BOC downhill parking lot. The Lily Pad was just right for what we needed and I would return.

Lovely Lily Pad

The Lily Pad was an excellent get away and base camp for all of our hiking adventures in AR for the weekend!!! Such a cozy and welcoming cabin The dogs were so sweet. Would definitely stay here again!

Very clean and neat. Be sure and check the size to make sure it meets your needs because it is pretty small. Enjoyed the pond and even caught a couple fish. Very close to hiking trails and we got to see elk. The host was very nice and brought us wood. It was very relaxing and enjoyable. We enjoyed the campfire.

The drive took us by surprise, but it was worth it. Connie, our hostess, was friendly and accommodating. The pings in front of the cabin was so beautiful and the night sounds were wonderful! The cabin was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I highly recommend this place as a get-away. Thank you!
