Adventure Hotels in Conca dei Marini

Magnificent hotel with breathtaking views of the Tyrrhenian Sea/Amalfi coast. Everything was high quality and clean. We stayed only two nights at this hotel (we wanted four) in August, 2016, but it was booked up, so we had to move to another hotel near Amalfi for two nights. The room had a small balcony with a great view of the coast. It was decorated in a very modern, minimalist style and had a firm, comfortable bed. The hotel’s public areas (the large terrace, lobby and breakfast area) had absolutely magnificent views of the water and were decorated tastefully with lots of Italian glass. Breakfast buffet was good (fresh squeezed orange juice, pastries, and cold cuts.) Three good-quality restaurants are located beneath the hotel on the rocky beach area (you take an elevator down to a walkway and walk about 200 steps down to a beach). During the daytime we walked uphill (steep 30-45 minutes uphill, lots of steps, with great views of the coast) to the very small town of Conca dei Marini to have lunch. We used public transportation (bus) to reach this hotel, and unfortunately I would not recommend staying here without a car, as the options for restaurants and snacks and things to do are very limited by foot.

Great view with very large balcony/terrace. Room was smaller than anticipated. Pool staff is excellent and the restaurant staff and bar were what I would call efficient but not engaging.

My husband and I spent a wonderful 3 days at La Conca Azzurra, and our only complaint was that we didn't have more time to enjoy all they had to offer. The Pros: -Incredibly helpful staff. They'll arrange private transportation to/from the hotel from the major airports, or help you figure out public transportation if you'd like to save money. They'll give you tips on other things to do in the area, including their own ferry service to a nearby private island or to Pompeii. They'll whip out a first aid kit if you scrape your knee on the cliffs. They're all friendly and kind. -Private swimming area. There are large public and paid-access beaches within a mile or two of the hotel, but for most of our trip, we were content with the private deck carved into the rock that was a short walk from the hotel itself, and for hotel guests only. Two sets of beach chairs under shady awnings, a small extension of the restaurant that serves lunch and beverages, a raised still pool that heats up during the day like a mini jacuzzi (though there was a real hot tub up at the hotel), and easy access to the delicious sea. We spent an entire day lying by the water, reading, having lunch, sipping wine, and slipping into the water. -Gorgeous views. Whether from your private balcony, the rooftop terrace, the dinning room's patio, or the private swimming area by the water, the views are outstanding. -Excellent food. Our meals at the hotel were among the best we had anywhere on our whole trip.

this hotel is a piece of paradise.the grounds are immaculate, and the staff are amazing.the general manager is a "class act". there is no price you can put on the view when your sitting in their infiniti pool. i hated to leave. its expensive, but well worth the price
