This property is very old and not kept up. We had an ant infestation and they didn’t do anything about it. The pool area is so run down and the breakfast is terrible. I found a swished ant in my croissant. The concierge was rude and didn’t want to help with the ant problem and said is natural. I guess cause they weren’t sleeping with them and have them crawl in their suit cases.

The property is far from the beach but well communicated by bus or taxi, take in consideration that even if you use the taxis the day you arrive and leave you have to pay for transporters for the luggage due to the taxis go from the center of the city to the hotel but there are several stairs that you can not walk if you have large luggage . Every suitcase is $10

The property is unique and has a certain old world charm, but is overpriced and past it’s prime. All citations are from 2001-2004 era. As I am a swimmer, what saved it for me is the pool, which is large enough for laps and well-kept up. Anything other than the hotel restaurant is a hike, and that means steep in Positano. The staff is helpful, and overall we enjoyed our stay.

I normally don’t leave reviews, but wanted to on this property after reading the previous reviews prior to our stay that had me feeling uneasy. For the price in Positano, you absolutely can’t beat it. It’s convenient for walking to city center, around 400 steps one way. The breakfast spread each morning filled the entire wall, so much to choose from. The staff was extremely accommodating, held our luggage, called our taxi, and allowed us to check in early since our room was available after a long day of travel. Most properties in this town have steps one way or another, but it’s a lot quicker to walk vs getting transportation each day due to the layout of the city. Our room had an amazing view of the city and ocean, would absolutely stay here again!

The staff were so friendly, fun and accommodating. The rooms were okay, had to walk up down and around to get to the room. Beautiful pool. Nice to have a restaurant, and bar and pool at the hotel.

This property is so dated, and service was not what we expected based on reading other reviews. We were definitely disappointed in the lack of amenities and would unfortunately look for somewhere else to try the next time we’re in Positano.
