"We selected this property to join for a 50-year reunion of Nursery School moms. We planned on walking and talking sharing wine and food over the course of our stay. The setting was perfect for all of us. The view of the lake, the horses out to pasture, the variety of birds, the bass fishermen on the shore and the quiet was what we all needed. We walked the vineyards, the horse arena, stalls and wedding venue. Everything was clean and well maintained. The beds were comfortable, the towels...

"This house worked out great for our volleyball tournament weekend. We had three parent/teen families stay and there was more than enough room for everyone (and very reasonably priced compared to a hotel). A few minor things: the listing advertised a hot tub, but I didn’t see one (there’s a possibility there’s a jet tub in the master that I didn’t see). The room upstairs to the left could maybe use a mattress topper on the king bed…the mattress was very firm. Other than that, the house was clean...

"This was our second trip to the White House. We enjoyed it just as much as our first trip. We hoped for a nice sunny weekend to enjoy the beautiful outdoors but Mother Nature had different plans. It rained then snowed! However, it didn’t take away from our weekend. The cabin has everything you need should you choose to stay put and enjoy the property. The house is walking distance to apple orchard stands and a quick drive to many wineries. We had the best stay and can’t wait to return again!"

"This is one of the best places that I have ever stayed; the rooms are clean with tons of character. I love the style and the history of the place. There is a yard with a large outdoor kitchen and other fun games and stuff. Great for the kiddos! I'd like to find a reason to go back to the area just so that I can stay at this place again! And the American River is just right down the road (if you don't mind driving a gravel road). Love it and would definitely recommend! "
