Located in The Currituck Club, polished hardwood floors and comfortable furnishings exude a feeling of calm and tranquility. \[Note: No dogs or other animals are allowed in this home.\] Beds: 2 King Masters, 2 Queens (1 Master), 1 Pyramid Bunk Set with Trundle; 12 Towel Sets provided ENTRY LEVEL: The Great Room has two separate seating areas: one for those who wish to read or have conversation, the other for those wishing to watch TV or a movie. The dining area (seats 8) and the kitchen bar counter (seats 5). The kitchen is fully-stocked for the cooks in the family and oak cabinetry has plenty of places to store your groceries and snacks. Since the cooktop and prep sink are part of the kitchen island, the cooks on duty will always be part of the family activities. This floor also has a half bath and large King Master Suite has an old-fashioned soaking tub and modern glass-walled shower in its master bath. On the stairway landing, a Queen Master Suite has a shower/tub combo in its master bath. \[Note: gas fireplace is not available for guest use.\] TOP LEVEL: A King Master Suite has beautiful views and privacy; it has a shower/tub combo in its master bath. Across the hall breezeway, which overlooks the foyer below, a bedroom with a Queen bed shares a hall bath (shower/tub combo) with the Pyramid Bunk bedroom. There is a Trundle bed available below the bottom bunk bed. GROUND LEVEL: There's no better medicine than the great outdoors and this home has a large pool deck area set-up for family enjoyment with private pool (13' x 30'), and outdoor shower and gas grill. A separate hot tub is available for the adults to enjoy. The garage has been converted into a game area with a Foosball table. There is parking for 4-5 vehicles in the driveway. EXTRAS: As guests within The Currituck Club, a premier-gated community and resort, your family can use its various amenities including free trolley service to the beach access and beach valet service (summer months only), a Clubhouse with on-site dining, a large community pool with kiddie pool at the main entrance, a Fitness Center, and courts for tennis, basketball, volleyball and pickleball. There are planned kids activities offered during the summer and paths for walking and bike riding. Great size pool that stayed cool despite the hot weather. Spacious rooms. You need to use the trolley to get to the beach but the pick up spot is right outside the house We took advantage of it all,,, Beach, Pool, parasailing, pickle ball, gym, shuffle board, and ice cream. Harris teeters is super close. Very convenient. Note that simple items such as toilet paper and hand soap are not provided on arrival. The house was nice and spacious. Large pool the kids enjoyed. Easy shuttle access to the beach. Great time exploring north of Duck. Duck traffic in August was a nightmare so we stayed up in Corolla. Had a great time crabbing on the docks at whalehead by Currituck lighthouse. Grabbed a net and couple lines from a local bait shop for $25\. Had a couple great beach days with rental umbrellas in between the rainy days. Unfortunately our stay was over shadowed by a leaking roof in the master bedroom. This happened twice on our visit which was no fun to wake in the night with a wet bed. Property manager and owner basically said these things happen, but did nothing. Other than that we had a great stay. Never would have thought to ask if the roof leaked but it had clearly happened before when you see the ceiling in there. Would have a 5 star rating had this not happened. The neighborhood was beautiful and perfect. The house had a wonderful open concept for entertainment, but nice private and quiet bedrooms. The pool and entire outdoor area was large and great for spending the day. Everything was clean. Our group appreciated the fully stocked kitchen, the complimentary linens, the free dozen bagels provided by the owners, the pool and the hot tub. We had a great time and are already looking forward to next year. The house’s location was perfect (in front of trolley stop 6) and there was a supermarket and duck donuts around the corner.
