The main positives are the amazing location, spectacular beach and the polite and courteous staff. We stayed in the sunset villa - they look dated from outside but are clean and comfortable inside. The bed was huge and pillows were some of the bed I have ever had. The bathrooms are modern and stocked with all the amenities. The complimentary water bottles, daily snack, reef friendly sun screen and insect repellents are a great touch. However, there are a couple of things that let the resort down for me. The food is average, though there are vegetarian options albeit limited. When we arrived, we were told that day trips organised by the resort could be booked up to 4pm the following day. We went early in the afternoon to book one of the island hopping trips for the following day and were told that no boats were available. Sadly we didn’t have the option to do it the following day as we were due to depart that day. So we basically ended up spending our 3 days just on the island and I think that is the main downside. If you want to do the Coron tour A, you need to get a boat to Busuanga island, get a van to Coron town and then do the tour A circuit. So if you want to see Coron, you are better off staying elsewhere. That really stood out and should definitely be kept. This is actually our 2nd time in this island resort. The services were great. All the staff were courteous. Special mention to Theresa who always writes special messages to us when she comes to our villa for the turn down service. Special mention to Ian, who always greet us with a beautiful smile. He always takes a step ahead to make us feel special. My partner, Larry enjoyed having a conversation with him and we noticed that he does this to every guests. He is very engaging. We will definitely comeback to this beautiful island. I wish they can renovate all the sunset villas. We explored the island and we saw a lot of constructions going on. The garden/nature villas look beautiful and spacious from the outside. I wish that when we come back for the 3rd time, there will be improvements done on all the sunset villa.
