Everything about the hotel was great except the sleep. I planned this trip several months in advance for my wife’s birthday and compared to other hotels in the area, this was one of the most expensive at over $500/night which I thought would be a good splurge. Come to find out, there are sea lions living under the hotel that literally bark all day and all night long…. Dozens of them. Neither one of us was able to sleep for more than an hour or so intermittently each night. It was horrible to say the least. Beyond that, it was a great place..

Room 5001: needs to have chairs replaced, material is all ripped up to the point I did not want to sit in them. The hanging light fixture shade is covered in stains. Not sure if the hotel is losing money or what but I was not impressed with this room. Also, the train is quite loud.
