Excellent breakfast with great choice in both buffet style and cooked meal.
Bedroom and washroom were both spacious with super shower.
Disliked key to get into room as sometimes it didn't work. I often needed help with this. I was on the 3rd floor and had to walk down and back up 28 steps with help for this.

Proximity of property to attractions in York. Mattress on bed had noisy springs when you moved and some of the fixtures and fittings appeared tired e.g. water damage on the back of the bathroom door and ripped net curtain.

Hotel is conveniently located close to the train station and about a 15 minute walk to town where all the attractions are. Beautiful lobby and grounds. Our room was a bit small but would’ve been fine except the sink and shower did not drain. I suspect it is an ongoing problem as there’s a moldy smell upon entering the room.
