If you are looking for a place to get away from it all, then this cottage rental is perfect for you! It is nestled on the bank of a 110-acre watershed lake (Banker’s Lake) in western Kentucky.
Fishing, canoeing and kayaking are just steps away from the porch of this quaint little cottage. The use of canoes, kayaks, paddles, and life jackets is included with the rental. There is also a small beach area for children and a fire pit with wood provided.
It is a wonderful place to relax and recharge from the hustle and bustle of your daily routine. Whether it be a small family escape or a romantic weekend getaway, you owe it to yourself to slow down, recharge and spend quality time with the ones you love.
This rental is conveniently located just minutes away from Pennyrile State Park and only an hour drive from Land Between the Lakes (Kentucky and Barkley Lakes). It is less than 10 miles from Burdoc Farms (wedding venue), so this is a great place for out of town wedding guests.
This cottage comes furnished with appliances, dishware, gas grill, towels, washer/dryer and dvd player w/ 40” television. A blow up mattress is also available to those who would like to bring an additional guest above the listed 3 sleeping spaces. Pets are also welcome for a small additional fee. NOTE FOR PET OWNERS - If you plan to bring more than one pet, please contact owner for a discussion about additional charges for those extra pets.

Wonderful get away!

We absolutely loved staying here! The description is accurate, so I won't go into detail there. The cabin is in a fanatic location if you are looking to get away from it all. Very private, beautiful view of the lake. No one bothered us while we were there, which was exactly what we wanted. We will definitely come back!

Lovely place to spend New Years Eve

We enjoyed our visit so much. We had everything we needed in the cabin along with the beautiful view of the water. We used the fire pit at night and soaked up the quiet and the solitude. Our dog enjoyed the time there, too!

Quaint, quiet getaway

This is our favorite place to have some quiet time together with the Lord. The lake allows for some fun fishing and quiet kayaking. The home is cozy and quiet for the two of us to enjoy games, dinner and snuggles under the open skies.

We come every year for the 4th of July! It’s the perfect place for our family and we always look forward to the cabin all year long. This place is perfect and our daughter loves the lake and fishing. It’s so nice to unplug and play games and spend time together!

Delightful getaway

This was our second visit to the “Love Shack”. Both times we enjoyed a quiet quaint rustic getaway. The gravel drive made for a safe country walk. The provided canoes allowed for great sunset and sunrise fishing.

Wonderful, peaceful and beautiful!

My 9 year old son and I stayed at the cabin this weekend and had a wonderful time! Check in was a breeze! The cabin was adorable and very clean. There is a fire pit right outside the front door. I had a hard time getting a fire started and Rick was super nice and came down to help us so my son wouldnt be disappointed. Its in a great location, right on the lake and a quick 10 minute drive to Pennyrile State Park Beach. We will definitely stay here again!

A nice quiet getaway

This was absolutely a great quiet getaway from it all....nice surroundings, easy access to the parks and towns and lots of solitude. Weather was perfect while we were there... 70's in October and the trees were beautiful! A very small cabin but no larger than the 2 of us need. Newly updated firestick tv gave lots of access to shows, movies, etc. Not sure of the building activity began next to the cabin... a bit too close imo. Overall, a great stay!

What a wonderful get-away location!

We stayed with Rick at the cabin for 60 days. Springtime here on the Lake was wonderful! The firepit got lots of use. There's both an open and covered porch for morning coffee and evening drinks. The cabin is perfect for couples to enjoy the country. Nearby is the Casey Jones Distillery which has entertainment, and all supplies you might need are up the street in Crofton. We're moving to our new house shortly and we will be back to visit with Rick and Carla. They're exceptional hosts with in a magnificent setting. Thanks to you both!

Quiet Getaway

The cabin was exactly what we were looking for, a quiet place to get away with nothing around for miles. Literally nothing around. There is a little stop l strip about 10 minutes away that had several dollar stores and a gas station but that's about it. There's a large town about 30 minutes out. All you can hear from the cabin is nature!! It was a perfect for me husband and I but there is a twin bed up on the loft if you brought a child. Fishing is hard unless you're on a boat since the lake is full of grass that you're hook will catch on, other than that great stay!!
