A dishwasher and washing machine in such a small apartment were useful for a longer stay, although we didn't use the later for our 3 night break. It's really convenient for the City centre and even closer to the Millennium Stadium, although I bet prices for major events there are much higher. Cardiff is a great city and certainly cheaper than Lincoln where we live. Strongly recommend a visit. "OK, but I would question the cleanliness when you find dog mess on the rear decking area when you arrive."
"The window was locked with the lock broken, so could not open it making it suffocating and hot inside. The washroom exhaust fan was not working making it stuffy. We tried contacting the host but the replies were always after 24 hours (leading it to no help during the stay). No response on compensation also because of the inconvenience. Poor hosting :( we have videos as proof but cannot upload as there is only option of photos"
"Our fourth stay at the Metropole in recent years.A privilege to stay in such a unique historic building,with yes a little patina around the edges.If you dont embrace the nostalgia then budget chain's are available.The staff here are so good,as is the breakfast and the pool and spa facility.A great location for roadtrips around mid Wales,and a huge car park."
"The best part was the breakfast, very good and very polite individual. The room was cold, no hot water to shower, no one around to solve the issue. All in house amenities not in use. No bar. No service, no contact. It's 2 miles from town, so taxi us essential. It's the sort of place that picture perfect... But you'll only go once. Sorry for the bad review, almost recovered by the polite service and lovely breakfast."
